Abstract
Latar Belakang :
/
Background :
Multitrauma is an injury involving two or more organ systems that can be life- threatening. Trauma can occur when the body is hit by a blunt object or a sudden impact. Treatment of trauma must be fast to avoid systemic shock, so scoring is needed that is accurate enough to determine the level of patient safety from multitrauma. One of the scorings that can be used is the Injury severity score (ISS), which is an anatomical scoring system to assess severity and mortality in trauma patients.
Research Objective :
The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between injury severity score and mortality in multitrauma patients.
Hypothesis :
The hypothesis to be proven is that there is a significant relationship between injury severity score (ISS) and mortality in multitrauma patients.
Research Methods :
This study uses secondary data in the form of medical records from Siloam Lippo Village Hospital. The data will then be analyzed bivariate using the Chi-Square test using SPSS version 26.0.
Results :
This research involved 58 multitrauma patients at Siloam Hospital Lippo Village. In this study, it was found that there was a significant relationship between the Injury Severity Score (ISS) and mortality. The result was a P-value of 0.000 (<0.05).
Conclusion :
This study found a significant relationship between the Injury Severity Score (ISS) and mortality.
