Fear of Missing Out umumnya ditemukan melalui komunikasi dalam media sosial. Salah satu media yang memberikan pengetahuan akan Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) adalah buku non fiksi berjudul Fear Of Missing Out karya Patrick J. McGinnis. Buku ini menceritakan tentang pengalaman McGinnis mulai dari ia merasakan fenomena Fear of Missing Out (FoMO), hingga akhirnya ia menemukan solusinya yaitu untuk tepat mengambil keputusan dengan membuat skala prioritas. Buku ini dipilih penulis karena memiliki informasi yang kredibel mengenai topik Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) yang saat ini banyak dialami. Konten dari buku ini memiliki potensi untuk dianalisis. Analisis konten dibutuhkan dalam lingkup pengerjaan proyek Tugas Akhir. Hasil analisis bertujuan untuk menentukan bagian mana dari buku yang perlu untuk divisualisasikan dengan pendekatan ilustrasi. Peran ilustrasi dalam perancangan visual ini adalah sebagai medium yang dapat mengkomunikasikan konten buku secara lebih ekspresif dan naratif. / Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) is a label to describe the feeling of anxiety that arises due to the perception that another individual's experience is more satisfying than one's own. Fear of Missing Out is generally found through communication on social media. One of the media that provides knowledge about Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) is a non-fiction book entitled Fear Of Missing Out by Patrick J. McGinnis. This book tells about McGinnis' experiences starting from the time he experienced the Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) phenomenon, until he finally found the solution, namely to make the right decisions by making a priority scale. This book was chosen because it has credible information on the topic of Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) which is currently being experienced by many individuals. The content of this book has the potential to be analyzed and is required within the scope of this Final Project. The results of the analysis aims to determine which parts of the book that needs to be visualized and approached through illustration. In this visual design project, the role of illustration is to be a medium that can communicate the book’s content in a more expressive and narrative way.
