Abstract
The high unemployment rate is caused by the imbalance between the number of job seekers and the available job vacancies. This issue requires a good understanding of the factors influencing entrepreneurial interest, especially among students who typically possess adequate knowledge and skills for entrepreneurship. This study focuses on examining the potential for entrepreneurship and the factors influencing entrepreneurial interest, such as family economic education, peer groups, and economic literacy, which are predicted to have an impact on entrepreneurial
interest. The research involves quantitative research using a survey conducted through Google Form, which is then analyzed using SmartPLS4. It also involves 250 students who meet the specified criteria. The results indicate that: 1) Economic Literacy has a positive influence on Entrepreneurial Intention. 2) Family Economic Education does not have a positive influence on Entrepreneurial Intention. 3) Peer Groups have a positive influence on Entrepreneurial Intention. 4) Family Economic Education and Peer Groups have a positive influence on Economic Literacy. 5)Economic Literacy successfully mediates the relationship between the variables of Family Economic Education and Peer Groups towards Entrepreneurial Intention. Therefore, the research demonstrates that educational institutions should utilize
business incubators and peer groups within the entrepreneurial community to enhance students' entrepreneurial intentions. Additionally, parents can foster
entrepreneurial interest and enthusiasm by introducing it to children from an early age
