Abstract
Kualitas yang dimiliki oleh sebuah institusi pendidikan dipengaruhi oleh
bagaimana kinerja institusi pendidikan tersebut. Oleh karena itu dibutuhkan suatu
pengukuran untuk mengetahui bagaimana kinerja sistem pendidikan yang
bersangkutan, salah satu cara atau metode pengukuran yang dapat dilaksanakan
adalah dengan menggunakan Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award
(MBNQA) dimana banyak kesesuaiannya dengan akreditasi BAN-PT di indonesia.
Pengukuran kinerja FTI UPH Surabaya berdasarkan kriteria MBNQA
dilakukan melalui penyebaran kuesioner skala likert, pengolahan data kuesioner
dengan uji reliabilitas dan analisis pengembangan FTI UPH Surabaya dengan
mengintegrasikan analisis SWOT.
Hasil pengukuran kinerja FTI UPH Surabaya menunjukkan bahwa FTI
UPH Surabaya memiliki nilai total 714.1 dari maksimum 1000 berarti sudah
mencapai 71.4%. Nilai paling rendah pada kategori proses adalah kategori 5 yakni
Fokus Pada Karyawan dengan persentase nilai hanya 72.5%. Sedangkan nilai
kategori hasil-hasil hanya sebesar 64.8% saja. Subkategori-subkategori yang perlu
diperhatikan adalah Subkategori Hubungan Dengan Karyawan dengan nilai hanya
64.44% saja serta Subkategori Hasil Finansial dan Pemasaran dengan nilai hanya
44.97% saja.
Solusi pengembangan FTI UPH Surabaya antara lain menjalankan program
kompensasi employee of the month, melakukan survei tingkat kepuasan bekerja
dan menjalankan program pemasaran yang inovatif seperti pembukaan kelas
ekstrakurikuler di sekolah-sekolah. / The quality of an academic institution is affected by its own performance.
A measurement of performance is needed to understand how well the academic
institution perform. One method that can be done is using Malcolm Baldrige
National Quality Award which has many common elements with BAN-PT
accreditation.
Performance measurement of FTI UPH Surabaya based on MBNQA began
with distributing likert-scales questionnares, processed the data through reliability
test and finally analized the development strategies by integrating SWOT analysis.
The result of FTI UPH Surabaya performance measurement was 714.1 per
1000 or 71.4% for the total score. The lowest score from process category was
72.5% which obtained by Focus on Staff category. The results category score was
only 64.8%. Subcategories that need attentions were Relationship with Staff
Subcategory with score of 64.44% and Financial Result and Marketing
Subcategory with score of 44.97%.
Finally, the solution for FTI UPH Surabaya development were by doing
compensation program like employee of the month, staff’s working satisfaction
survey and also inovative marketing programs like opening an extra curricular
class in schools.
