Abstract

Penelitian ini mengajukan perbaikan tata letak mesin pada Divisi Material di suatu perusahaan sepeda. Hal ini dikarenakan penempatan mesin baru yang kurang tepat dan dapat mengurangi efisiensi dalam proses produksi. Perbaikan tata letak dilakukan dalam kerangka kerja (SLP) berdasarkan konsep untuk meningkatkan efisiensi proses produksi yang memiliki level variasi cukup tinggi. Pada tahap pengumpulan data waktu, dilakukan secara komprehensif. Pada tahap pengelompokan mesin, teknik yang digunakan adalah di mana koefisien yang digunakan adalah , , dan . Tahap prediksi luas sel dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik regresi linear. Tahap pengembangan tata letak dalam skala makro dilakukan dengan teknik reguler (SA) dan (MOSA). Di bagian akhir, diperoleh lima tata letak usulan. Kelimanya memiliki efektivitas pengelompokan yang lebih baik dari tata letak awal ( = 0.66; = 0.24). Tata letak usulan 1, 2, dan 3 merupakan usulan dengan pengelompokan mesin terbaik ( = 0.80; = 0.51). Tata letak usulan 1 merupakan usulan terbaik untuk kriteria aliran material (aliran material mingguan = 45,713.28 kali.cm). Tata letak usulan awal merupakan usulan terbaik untuk kriteria ( = 558.12 cm). Tata letak usulan 2 merupakan usulan terbaik untuk kriteria ( = 152.29 cm). Apabila performa setiap tata letak usulan pada tiap kriteria dirangking dan diberi skor, tata letak usulan 2 dan 4 merupakan dua usulan dengan rataan skor tertinggi, yakni 0.78 dan 0.67 dari total skor maksimal 1. / This research proposes a facility layout improvement in Material Division in a bicycle company. This is due to the inefficient placement of new machines and thus, can affect efficiency in material handling. Layout improvement is being held with Systematic Layout Procedure (SLP) as the framework, based on group technology concept to improve efficiency in production system with high level of product variation. There are several stages conducted in this research. In cycle time research, a comprehensive time study is being held. In machine grouping, similarity coefficient method is conducted, in which the writer uses three different coefficients: Jaccard, Ochiai, and Kulczynski. To predict the area of cells, linear regression method is used. In the macro development stage, a regular Simulated Annealing (SA) and Multi Objective Simulated Annealing (MOSA) are implemented. In the end, there are five proposed layouts with a better score for machine grouping criteria compared to the original layout (grouping efficiency = 0.66; grouping efficacy = 0.24). Proposed layout 1, 2, and 3 are the best layout for machine grouping criteria (grouping efficiency = 0.80; grouping efficacy = 0.51). Proposed layout 1 is the best layout for material flow criteria (material flow/week = 45,713.28 times.cm). Proposed layout from the supervisor is the best layout for movement criteria (movement = 558.12 cm). Proposed layout 2 is the best layout for unity criteria (unity = 152.29 cm). However, if performance of each proposed layout is ranked and scored, proposed layout 2 and 4 are the two layouts with the highest mean of rank weight (rank weight for proposed layout 2 = 0.78; rank weight for proposed layout 4 = 0.67).
