Abstract
Fashion selalu berkembang dari tahun ke tahun, dan selalu ada fashion baru yang tersebar luas melalui media. Salah satu fashion yang masuk ke Indonesia adalah fashion crossdresser yang dilakukan oleh laki-laki, dimana crossdrsser berbanding terbalik dengan budaya yang ada. Laki-laki pasti selalu dikaitkan dengan maskulinitas, namun laki-laki dengan gaya berpakaian crossdresser akan terlihat feminim. Walaupun begitu, Generasi Z dikatakan lebih memiliki pemikiran yang terbuka dan mereka lebih terbuka dengan hal-hal yang tidak sesuai dengan budaya yang mereka miliki. Karena hal tersebut, diperlukan penelitian untuk mengetahui bagaimana resepsi dari perempuan Generasi Z terhadap laki-laki crossdresser.
Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode penelitian fenomenologi. Pengumpulan data penelitian dilakukan dengan data primer, yaitu dengan wawancara dan juga data sekunder berupa studi kepustakaan. Wawancara dilakukan kepada perempuan Generasi Z terkait dengan laki-laki crossdresser yang ada. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat tiga posisi pemaknaan pesan dalam melakukan penerimaan yaitu dominan-hegemonik, negosiasi, dan juga oposisional. Ditemukan bahwa terdapat perempuan Generasi Z yang tidak masalah dengan tampilan tidak maskulin, namun banyak juga perempuan Generasi Z yang tetap menginginkan tampilan laki-laki maskulin, dan hal tersebut dipengaruhi oleh budaya yang mereka miliki, dan seberapa erat mereka memegang budaya tersebut. / Fashion is always evolving year by year, and there is always new fashion spread widely through the media. One of the fashion that entered Indonesia was a crossdresser fashion which are done by men, where crossdrsser was inversely proportional to the existing culture. Men must always be associated with masculinity, but men in crossdresser style will look feminine. Nevertheless, Generation Z is said to have an open mind and they are more open to things that are not compatible with their culture. Because of this, research is needed to find out how the reception of Generation Z women is to crossdresser males.
This study used a qualitative approach with phenomenological research methods. The collection of research data was conducted with primary data, that is, interviews and secondary data in the form of library studies. Interviews were conducted to Generation Z women related to existing male crossdressers.
Research results show that there are three message-using positions in acceptance: hegemony-dominant, negotiation, and oppositional. It was found that there were Generation Z women who did not have a problem with masculine looks, but ther are many Generation Z women still wanted masculine male looks, and that was influenced by the culture they had, and how closely they held the culture.
