Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyeimbangan lintasan produksi pada PT
Wijaya Panca Sentosa Food. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan pengukuran waktu pada
masing-masing proses produksi dan menganalisis tingkat bottleneck, serta
keseimbangan lintasan produksi di dalam sistem yang sekarang. Setelah
mengetahui waktu proses produksi, tingkat bottleneck, dan keseimbangan lintasan
produksi pada sistem sekarang, akan dilakukan usulan perbaikan terhadap
keseimbangan lintasan produksi.
Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi,
dan studi pustaka. Data diolah menggunakan uji keseragaman dan kecukupan data,
distribution fitting, pembuatan simulasi model menggunakan software Arena, uji
independensi sampel, verifikasi dan validasi model, serta menilai dan memperbaiki
keseimbangan lintasan produksi menggunakan metode Ranked Positional Weights
(RPW) dan pendekatan simulasi.
Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh keseimbangan lintasan produksi awal
sebesar 59,99% dengan jumlah 6 stasiun kerja. Perbaikan menggunakan metode
RPW dan didapatkan jumlah stasiun kerja yang optimal sebanyak 3 stasiun kerja
dengan keseimbangan lintasan produksi sebesar 81,35%. Berdasarkan persentase
utilisasi dibuat usulan perbaikan terhadap jumlah mesin dan operator dan
didapatkan stasiun kerja yang optimal sebanyak 3 stasiun kerja dengan
keseimbangan lintasan produksi sebesar 94,64%. / The research objective is to balance the production line in PT Wijaya Panca
Sentosa Food. This research conduct a stopwatch time study in each process,
analyzing the bottleneck in the system, and the line balance efficiency in current
system After the data have been gathered relating to the current production system,
this research will evaluate and improve the line balance efficiency based on the
current production system’s performance.
Data collection gathered through observation, interview, documentation, and
literature studies. The data processed using control chart and data adequacy test,
distribution fitting, creating the simulation model using Arena simulation software,
independent sample test, model verification, model validation, assessing and
evaluating the line balance efficiency using Ranked Positional Weights (RPW)
method and simulation approach.
Based on the result, the line balance efficiency in the current production
system is 59,99% with 6 workstations in the system. Improvement of the workstation
using RPW method resulting 81,35% line balance efficiency with 3 workstations in
the system. Improvement made again based on simulation evaluation on the
machines and operator’s utilization. The improvement result 94,64% line balance
efficiency with 3 workstations in the system.
