Abstract
Masalah yang dibahas dalam penelitian ini adalah adanya
ketidakseimbangan lintasan produksi CV Garuda Plastik karena adanya idle time
dan memiliki produtivitas yang rendah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk
menyeimbangkan lintasan produksi sehingga dapat meningkatkan output produksi.
Tahap awal dari penelitian ini adalah dengan melakukan pengukuran waktu
terhadap setiap proses produksi. Nilai efisiensi sistem produksi saat ini hanya
mencapai 37,47%.
Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah
dengan melakukan wawancara kepada pemilik dan pekerja, observasi terhadap
proses produksi yang sedang berjalan, dan pengambilan data waktu produksi
secara langsung. Data diolah untuk dilakukan uji keseragaman dan kecukupan
data, kemudian dilakukan perhitungan distribution fitting. Untuk mengetahui
efisiensi sistem produksi saat ini maka dibuat model simulasi dengan
menggunakan software Promodel. Setelah model simulasi selesai maka dapat
dilakukan tahap verifikasi dan validasi model simulasi untuk membandingkan
hasil simulasi dan sistem nyata.
Pembuatan usulan perbaikan dibuat berdasarkan hasil analisis dari hasil
simulasi sistem produksi saat ini dengan menggunakan metode Ranked Positional
Weights (RPW) untuk mendapatkan jumlah stasiun kerja yang optimal. Terdapat
dua usulan perbaikan dalam penelitian ini, usulan perbaikan pertama dengan
menggunakan metode RPW dapat meningkatkan efisiensi produksi menjadi
49,96 % dengan tiga stasiun kerja. Sedangkan pada usulan perbaikan kedua
dengan menggunakan penambahan jumlah mesin injeksi dan operator mesin
injeksi, sehingga dapat meningkatkan efisiensi produksi menjadi 51%. / The problem in this study is an imbalance in the production line in CV
Garuda Plastics due to idle time and have a low productivity. The purpose of this
study is to balance the production line so as to increase production output. The
initial phase of this research is by measuring the time for each production process.
The value of the current production system efficiency is only reached 37.47%.
Data collection used in this research is to bet interviews with the owners
and workers, the observation of the ongoing production process, and production
time data retrieval directly. The data were processed using control chart and
adequacy test, then the distribution fitting. To determine the efficiency of the
current production system, the simulation model was made using software
Promodel. After the simulation model is completed, then the next step is
verification and validation of simulation models to compare the results of the
simulation and the real system.
Making the proposed improvements were made based on the results of the
analysis of the results of the current production system simulation using methods
Ranked Positional Weights (RPW) to obtain the optimal number of work stations.
The result of this research were, first proposed improvement is using RPW
method can improve the efficiency of production to 49.96% with three work
stations. While the second proposed improvement by using the addition two
injection machine and injection machine operators, so as to improve production
efficiency to 51%.
