Latar Belakang: Penggunaan smartphone yang berlebihan dapat menurunkan kesehatan. Tidak sedikit pengguna smartphone mengeluhkan nyeri kepala. Nyeri kepala adalah gangguan paling umum pada sistem saraf dan merupakan masalah di seluruh dunia. Radiasi dapat dapat memicu terjadinya nyeri kepala melalui perubahan homeostasis, perubahan aliran listirk pada sel saraf, dan aktivasi jalur trigeminovaskular. Metode: Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah potong lintang dengan jumlah minimal sample sebesar 154 orang. Sampel dipilih berdasarkan Teknik purposive sampling. Pengambilan data akan dilakukan dari bulan Januari 2023 sampai maret 2023. Data yang telah terkumpul kemudian akan diolan dan dianalisis menggunakan Statistical Package of Social Science (SPSS) dengan metode chi-square. Hasil: Sebanyak 155 subyek yang diteliti didapatkan nilai P-value yang sebesar <0.001. Kesimpulan: Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan terdapat hubungan antara Smartphone Addiction dengan nyeri kepala primer pada mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran UPH karena nilai P-value yang didapatkan <0.001 / Background: Excessive use of smartphones can reduce health. Not a few smartphone users complain of headaches12. Headache is the most common disorder of the nervous system and is a worldwide problem. Radiation can trigger headaches through changes in homeostasis, changes in the flow of electricity in nerve cells, and activation of the trigeminovascular pathway. Methods: This study used a cross-sectional study design research method with a sample of 154 UPH Faculty of Medicine students who agreed and were chosen using a purposive sampling technique. The data will be collected from January to March 2023. The data from this study will be analyzed using the Results: A total of 155 subjects studied obtained a P-value of <0.001. Conclusions: The results of this study show that there is a relationship between Smartphone Addiction and primary headaches in UPH Medical Faculty students because the P-value obtained was <0.001 Keywords: Smartphone Addiction, Primary Headache.
