In this era, technology is developing very rapidly, especially artificial intelligence. Artificial intelligence has many capabilities, one of which is creating images based on given commands. This then raises questions for the world of copyright, namely whether images produced by artificial intelligence can be copyrighted or not, and then who has the right to be the creator. Apart from that, another problem is if a dispute occurs, how to resolve the dispute. This research aims to determine the legal certainty of images produced by artificial intelligence. The author uses normative empirical as a research method. The author used literature study to collect secondary data and conducted interviews with relevant experts to collect primary data. The results of this research show that there are no definite regulations regarding work produced by artificial intelligence. The author found that there is a dilemma, namely, whether images produced by artificial intelligence can or cannot be granted copyright. The opinion that says this image cannot be copyrighted is based on the reason that the image does not contain elements of human creativity. Apart from that, images produced by artificial intelligence often do not match the creator's expectations. Images produced by artificial intelligence should be subject to copyright, because in the process of creating these images there is also human or creator creativity. According to the author, images created by artificial intelligence can be granted copyright if the resulting image is edited according to the creator's imagination or expectations.
