Abstract
Perusahaan multinasional dari Tiongkok adalah ByteDance. ByteDance menerapkan digitalisasi perdagangan untuk melakukan ekspansi global yang kita kenal dengan aplikasi TikTok. TikTok merupakan aplikasi sosial media yang kemudian memiliki fitur TikTok Shop untuk memfasilitasi penjualan, promosi, dan transaksi. TikTok Shop di Indonesia menimbulkan keresahan bagi pedagang lokal karena produk impor yang berlimpah menyebabkan pedagang lokal kurang diminati, perbandingan harga yang tidak setara, dan jenis barang yang bervariasi. Dalam menganalisis permasalahan ini, penulis menggunakan teori Realisme untuk membahas ancaman dagang yang terjadi pada perekonomian Indonesia akibat munculnya TikTok Shop dan barang impornya. Disertai dengan konsep proteksionisme ekonomi, kepentingan nasional, dan dampak multinational corporation (MNC) bagi negara tuujuan. Dalam proses penelitian, penulis menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus TikTok Shop di Indonesia. Data yang didapatkan adalah data sekunder, berasal dari sumber-sumber yang telah ada terdahulu, lalu disajikan dengan teknik naratif. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa, TikTok Shop membawa ancaman bagi perekonomian Indonesia melalui pelaku UMKM dan merek lokal./
The multinational company from China is ByteDance. ByteDance applies trade digitalization to carry out global expansion which we know as the TikTok application. TikTok is a social media application which then has the TikTok Shop feature to facilitate sales, promotions and transactions. TikTok Shop in Indonesia causes anxiety for local traders because imported products make local traders less popular, unequal price comparisons and types of goods that are in demand. In analyzing this problem, the author uses Realism theory to discuss the trade threats that occur in the Indonesian economy due to the emergence of the TikTok Shop and its imported goods. Accompanied by the concepts of economic protectionism, national interests, and the impact of multinational corporations (MNC) on destination countries. In the research process, the author used a qualitative approach with the TikTok Shop case study method in Indonesia. The data obtained is secondary data, originating from pre-existing sources, then presented using narrative techniques. It can be concluded that TikTok Shop poses a threat to the Indonesian economy through MSMEs and local brands.
