Plastic waste has become one of the most widely discussed environmental issues. Many losses are caused by the management of plastic waste that does not meet its standards. To date, the manufacturing industry is one of the largest contributors of plastic waste and greenhouse gas emissions in Indonesia. Therefore, to address this problem, the Government has issued the Regulation of the Minister of Environment and Forestry Number P.75 of 2019 on the Roadmap for Waste Reduction by Producers. This policy became the legal basis for the implementation of Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) to realize a circular economy in Indonesia. Both regulatory and policy practices need to be further developed in order to be effective and efficient. This study will focus on examining the mechanisms for implementing the Roadmap for Waste Reduction rules by comparing policies in South Korea to determine what adjustments need to be adopted in Indonesia. The approach used is the legal approach and comparative study.
