Abstract
DI PT RCI terdapat salah satu plant yang memproduksi berbagai macam jenis
selang dengan spesifikasi yang berbeda – beda tergantung kebutuhan konsumen.
Jenis selang yang dihasilkan adalah selang air, selang udara, selang bahan bakar
serta selang untuk industrial yaitu selang gas LPG dan selang lainnya. Ada beberapa
jenis selang yang masuk dalam proses covering. Proses covering adalah sebuah
proses pelapisan pada green hose dengan chemical dan compound. Proses covering
dimulai dengan tahap unwinding green hose braiding dan spiral. Pada proses ini
terdapat permasalahan pada proses covering yaitu green hose terjatuh atau terlipat
karena putaran loyang yang awalnya cepat menjadi pelan yang mengakibatkan
green hose mengulur terlalu banyak dan terjatuh. Hal ini membuat operator harus
memperbaiki green hose yang terjatuh atau terlipat dengan mengembalikan green
hose keposisi semula. Maka untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut dilakukan rancang
bangun alat unwinder green hose otomatis sehingga proses menjadi lebih stabil dan
alat menjadi lebih ergonomis. Namun belum pernah dilakukan uji alat unwinder
green hose otomatis untuk mengetahui seberapa besar peningkatan efektivitas alat
baru dibandingkan dengan alat lama. Selanjutnya dilakukan analisis efektivitas alat
unwinder baru dibandingkan alat unwinder lama berdasarkan skor REBA,
kecepatan putaran loyang dan kecepatan produksi. Alat unwinder baru mampu
menurunkan tingkat risiko cedera tinggi yaitu dari skor REBA sebesar 8-9 (risiko
tinggi) menjadi 2-4 (risiko rendah hingga sedang). Hasil kecepatan putaran loyang
menjadi lebih tinggi menggunakan alat unwinder baru dari yang awalnya 1-4 rpm
menjadi 25 rpm. Kecepatan produksi menggunakan alat unwinder green hose
otomatis meningkat sebesar 9.7% yaitu dari 62 unit/menit menjadi 68 unit/menit. / AT PT RCI there is a factory that produces various types of hoses with various
specifications depending on consumer needs. The types of hoses produced are water
hoses, air hoses, fuel hoses and industrial hoses, namely LPG gas hoses and other
hoses. There are several types of hose that go into the covering process. The
covering process is a process of coating the green hose with chemicals and
compounds. The closing process begins with the stage of removing the green hose
and spiral. In this process there are problems in the process including the green hose
falling or folding during the process, this causes the rotation speed of the pan which
was initially fast to become slow which causes the green hose to stretch too much
and fall. This requires the operator to repair the green hose that has fallen or folded
by returning the green hose to its original position. So, to overcome this problem,
an automatic green hockey unwinder tool was designed so that the process becomes
more stable, and the tool becomes more ergonomic. However, the new tool has
never been tested for effectiveness to find out how much the effectiveness of the
new tool increases compared to the old tool. Next, an analysis of the effectiveness
of the new unwinder tool was carried out compared to the old unwinder tool based
on the REBA score, pan rotation speed and production speed. The new unwinder
tool can reduce the level of high risk of injury, namely from a REBA score of 8-9
(high risk) to 2-4 (low to moderate risk). The results of the baking pan rotation
speed being higher using the new unwinder tool from 1-4 rpm to 25 rpm. Production
speed using an automatic green hose unwinder increased by 9.7%, namely from 62
units/minute to 68 units/minute.
