Abstract

Lipstick and blush-on is type of makeup that is routinely used by women. The tester provided in some cosmetic stores that is used interchangeably can cause problems with hygiene and may lead to infectious diseases. Therefore, researchers propose alternative application of virtual lipstick and blush-on. Virtual lipstick and blush-on application are using three stages of processing. The first stage is the detection of the face, eyes and lips from image using Haar Classifier Cascade. The second stage consists of HSV hue value settings on lips, and the third stage is the process of contouring the lips. In making this application, researcher uses C++ programming languages with OpenCV library. In order to know the successful of this application, researcher conducted tests consisted of the functional testing and use test results of lipstick-blush on virtually and directly. The test results proved that the average percentage of similarity of lipstick and blush-on colors are 85,00% and 80,53%. From the results of testing virtual lipstick and blush-on application, it can be used in simulating make-up virtually without direct contact with the product tester in order to avoid the hygiene problems.
