This thesis discusses the legal protection for consumers against the circulation of expired labels that are recycled in food products. The type of research that the author uses is a normative legal research method used with a statutory approach and the data source here is secondary data and the type of data used is a literature study. In the government's efforts to realize the balance of protection of the interests of consumers and business actors as well as the creation of honest and responsible food trade, Law No. 8 of 1999 on Consumer Protection and Government Regulation No. 69 of 1999 on Food Labels and Advertising were issued. UUPK regulates the rights and obligations of consumers and businesses in order to create a healthy economy. Government Regulation No. 69 of 1999 regulates that information conveyed to the public regarding food through food labels and advertisements is correct and not misleading. BPOM supervises the circulation of food products in order to guarantee the rights of consumers and fulfill the obligations of business actors.
