Abstract
Indonesia conducts public diplomacy in Singapore to promote tourism through Wonderful Indonesia. This research describes the implementation of Indonesian public diplomacy in Singapore through activities that have elements of art and culture, utilizing of communication channels, and the involving of actors in these activities. Therefore, this research will be explained using public diplomacy. The Wonderful Indonesia Campaign not only involves the government, but also been carried out through many non-government stakeholders. While the use of communication channels is carried out in collaboration with business executives, namely Traveloka in order to spread the campaign of Wonderful Indonesia through digital media. In addition, Indonesia also presents a television show titled Wondernesia which collaborates with social media influencers. All of these activities aim to disseminate Indonesian culture and foster relationships with the people of Singapore to realize a positive tourism image and reputation. In this research, the theory of Constructivism is used and followed by the theory of Indonesian foreign policy, diplomacy, and public diplomacy. This research uses qualitative research method where the researcher analyzes the efforts made by Indonesia through Wonderful Indonesia in creating a positive image of Indonesia towards Singapore. Datas are collected from sources such as books, journals, and websites that can support this research. / Indonesia melakukan diplomasi publik terhadap Singapura untuk mempromosikan pariwisata melalui Wonderful Indonesia. Penelitian ini mendeskripsikan implementasi diplomasi publik Indonesia di Singapura melalui kegiatan yang memiliki unsur seni-budaya, pemanfaatan saluran komunikasi, dan keterlibatan aktor-aktor dalam kegiatan tersebut. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini akan dijelaskan menggunakan diplomasi publik. Kampanye Wonderful Indonesia tidak hanya melibatkan pemerintah, tetapi juga dapat dilakukan melalui banyak pemangku kepentingan non-pemerintah. Pemanfaatan saluran komunikasi dilakukan melalui kerja sama dengan pelaku bisnis, yaitu Traveloka guna bertujuan menyebarluaskan kampanye Wonderful Indonesia melalui media digital. Selain itu, Indonesia juga menghadirkan tayangan televisi yang berjudul Wondernesia yang berkolaborasi dengan social media influencer. Seluruh kegiatan tersebut bertujuan untuk menyebarluaskan kebudayaan Indonesia dan membina hubungan dengan masyarakat Singapura guna mewujudkan citra dan reputasi pariwisata yang positif. Dalam penelitian ini, digunakan teori konstruktivisme serta di ikuti dengan teori kebijakan luar negeri Indonesia, diplomasi, dan diplomasi public. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dimana peneliti menganalisis upaya-upaya yang dilakukan Indonesia melalui Wonderful Indonesia dalam menciptakan citra positif Indonesia terhadap Singapura. Data dikumpulkan dari sumber seperti buku, jurnal, dan situs web yang bisa mendukung penelitian ini.
