Lois Scarlet (01071200013) PENGARUH TERJADINYA DIABETES MELLITUS TERHADAP DERAJAT KEPARAHAN INSUFISIENSI VENA KRONIS DI SILOAM HOSPITALS LIPPO VILLAGE GEDUNG B (XI+ 66 halaman : 3 gambar; 3 bagan; 7 tabel) Latar belakang: Insufisiensi Vena Kronik sering sekali diabaikan oleh tenaga kesehatan karena kurangnya pengetahuan terhadap beberapa manifestasi gangguan vena primer maupun sekunder. Pasien umumnya datang dengan keluhan sakit, pembengkakan, dan ulkus pada ekstremitas bawah yang berdampak pada kualitas hidup pasien yang bersangkutan. Insufisiensi Vena Kronik sendiri sering sekali ditemukan beriringan dengan penyakit Diabetes Melitus. Beberapa penelitian menemukan kemungkinan insidens diabetes mellitus yang lebih tinggi pada pasien penderita IVK. Sebuah studi oleh Mani et al, melibatkan 61 pasien diabetes (usia 30-80 tahun) klinik rawat jalan, melaporkan bahwa 64-70% pasien menderita inkompetensi vena dalam di tungkai bawah kanan atau kiri; kejadian yang secara statistik lebih tinggi daripada yang terlihat pada populasi umum. Kedua penyakit ini menyebabkan kerugian signifikan dalam bidang sosioekonomi. Di Indonesia sendiri masih belum ada penelitian yang menghubungkan antara derajat keparahan IVK dengan DM serta penelitian mengenai Insufisiensi Vena Kronik sendiri pun masih sangat terbatas di Indonesia. Metode Penelitian: Penelitian ini menggunakan studi analitik dengan metode potong lintang (cross sectional) terhadap 156 pasien yang memenuhi kriteria penelitian. Hasil Analisa Data : Jumlah sampel yang didapatkan sebesar 156 terdiagnosa IVK melalui doppler dengan presentase mengidap DM (64,1%). Patients generally come with complaints of pain, swelling and ulcers in the lower extremities which have an impact on the patient's quality of life. Chronic venous insufficiency itself is often found together with Diabetes Mellitus. Several studies have found a higher incidence of diabetes mellitus in patients with IVK. A study by Mani et al, involving 61 diabetes patients (age 30-80 years) outpatient clinic, reported that 64-70% of patients had deep vein incompetence in the right or left lower leg; incidence that is statistically higher than that seen in the general population. These two diseases cause significant socioeconomic losses. In Indonesia itself there is still no research linking IVK with DM and research on Chronic Venous Insufficiency itself is still very limited in Indonesia. Methodology: This study used an analytic study with a cross-sectional method on 156 patients who met the study criteria. Results : The number of samples obtained was 156 diagnosed with CVI by Doppler with the percentage suffering from DM (64,1%). Researchers found a P value of 0.031 (p<0.05) for the Impact of Diabetes Mellitus on Chronic Venous Insufficiency’s severity.
