Abstract

Background: Hypertension is a disease which can be called as silent killer because it can progress to a worse outcome without being acknowledge by the patient themselves. According to the results of Basic Health Research in 2013, the number of hypertension incidence in Indonesia in 2007, especially in the age of more than 18 years and over reached 31.7%. Most hypertensive patients tend to be irregular in taking antihypertensive medication due to several factors causing blood pressure to be abnormal, but there has not been much research to say about it. Aim: The purpose of this study was to reveal the association of adherence consuming antihypertensive drugs related to patient’s blood pressure. Materials and Method: This research is an observational analytical study conducted by cross sectional design. The amount of sample was determined by unpaired comparative analytic design. In this research will be done by interview, provision of questionnaire, and checking blood pressure of patients. These results will be processed using Chi-square method and SPSS program. Results: Sixty-four samples which were diagnosed with hypertension, 24 (37.5%) were moderate and low adherence with uncontrolled blood pressure, 18 (28,1%) were high adherence with controlled blood pressure, 15 (23,4%) were moderate and low adherence with controlled blood pressure, and 7 (10.9%) were high adherence with uncontrolled blood pressure. Odds ratio between adherence consuming antihypertensive drugs related to blood pressure were 4.114 (p=0.018) and [CI 95% 1.390 – 12.182]. Conclusion: Relationship of adherence consuming antihypertensive drug has significant correlation related to blood pressure of patients aged 45-65 years in General Hospital Siloam Tangerang Period February-March 2018 / Latar Belakang: Hipertensi merupakan suatu penyakit yang dapat dikatakan sebagai silent killer karena penyakit ini bisa mengalami progresivitas kearah yang buruk tanpa disadari oleh penderitanya. Menurut hasil Riset Kesehatan Dasar tahun 2013, jumlah kejadian hipertensi di Indonesia tahun 2007 khususnya pada umur lebih dari 18 tahun keatas mencapai 31,7%. Kebanyakan penderita hipertensi cenderung sering tidak teratur dalam meminum obat antihipertensi dikarenakan beberapa faktor sehingga menyebabkan tekanan darah menjadi tidak normal, namun belum banyak penelitian yang mengungkapkan mengenai hal ini. Tujuan: Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui hubungan dari sikap ketaatan dalam mengonsumsi obat antihipertensi terhadap tekanan darah pada pasien hipertensi. Bahan dan Metode: Jenis penelitian ini adalah studi analitik observasional yang dilaksanakan dengan desain penelitian cross sectional. Jumlah sampel penelitian ditentukan dengan desain analitik komparatif tidak berpasangan. Pada penelitian ini akan dilakukan wawancara, pemberian kuisioner, dan pengukuran tekanan darah pasien. Hasil yang didapatkan akan diolah menggunakan metode Chi square dan program SPSS. Hasil: Sebanyak 64 sampel yang terdiagnosis hipertensi, 24 (37,5%) memiliki ketaatan sedang dan rendah disertai dengan tidak normalnya tekanan darah, 18 (28,1%) dengan ketaatan tinggi dan tekanan darah normal, 15 (23,4%) dengan ketaatan sedang dan rendah disertai tekanan darah yang normal, dan 7 (10,9%) memiliki ketaatan tinggi dengan tekanan darah yang tidak normal. Odds Ratio antara ketaatan mengonsumsi obat antihipertensi dengan tekanan darah yaitu 4,114 (p=0,018) dan [CI 95% 1,390 – 12,182]. Kesimpulan: Ketaatan mengonsumsi obat antihipertensi memiliki hubungan yang signifikan terhadap tekanan darah pasien usia 45-65 tahun di Rumah Sakit Umum Siloam Tangerang Periode Februari-Maret 2018.
