Abstract

This research aims to conduct analysis and optimization to enhance the power transmission efficiency using laser light diverged using a lens to achieve optimal laserlight expansion, intended to illuminate the surface of PV modules. The study is carried out by comparing the output power from PV modules using a flat convex lens, a double-sided concave lens, and both lenses used simultaneously with the goal of diverging the laser light towards the solar module. Subsequently, the power efficiency of the system can be obtained by comparing the output power from solar modules receiving light diverged by different lenses compared to the power used to activate the laser. The results obtained from the study concluded that the double-sided concave lens is better for diverging laser light compared to the flat convex lens, and the system using the flat convex lens produces higher power compared to the concave lens. Additionally, the power generated using both lenses is highest at 20 cm with a value of 0.19 mW, and the power starts to decrease at distances from 30 cm to 50 cm.
