Abstract

Mosaik merupakan salah satu bentuk seni tertua di dunia dengan berbagai macam teknik dan variasi. Dengan banyaknya teknik mosaik, penelitian ini berfokus kepada pengembangan teknik mosaik 3D. Setelah melakukan riset dan eksperimen, penulis memutuskan untuk menggunakan bahan kaca dan resin dalam perancangan produk. Penulis menghasilkan satu koleksi produk dekorasi rumah bertemakan Bandung Lautan Api yang terdiri dari satu Candle Holder dan dua Vas. Dalam penelitian ini perancangan teknik mosaik 3D yang lebih inovatif terwujudkan pada penggunaan material limbah kaca dan resin lentur. Inovasi teknik mosaik 3D ini mendukung tema yang penulis angkat, yaitu Bandung Lautan Api. / Mosaic is one of the oldest art forms in the world with a wide variety of techniques and variations. With so many mosaic techniques, this research focuses on the development of 3D mosaic techniques. After conducting research and experimentation, the author decided to use glass and resin in the product design. The author produced a collection of home decoration products with the theme of Bandung Lautan Api consisting of one Candle Holder and two Vases. In this research, the design of a more innovative 3D mosaic technique is realized in the use of glass waste and flexible resin. The innovation of 3D mosaic technique supports the theme of Bandung Lautan Api.
