Abstract

Abad ke-21 melahirkan Generasi Z yang memiliki nilai dan kepedulian berbeda, terutama terhadap lingkungan. Generasi Z, yang sejak kecil terkoneksi secara global melalui internet, menjadikan internet sebagai sumber informasi utama mereka, termasuk tentang masalah lingkungan. Meningkatnya kepadatan penduduk memperparah masalah lingkungan, terutama limbah. Kesadaran masyarakat, terutama Generasi Z, diperlukan untuk menyelesaikan masalah ini. Meski Generasi Z peka terhadap isu tersebut, masih sedikit yang bertindak. Pusat rekreasi dan edukasi pengolahan limbah dengan pendekatan ekoarsitektur bagi Generasi Z di Kawasan Dukuh Atas merupakan solusi untuk meningkatkan kesadaran lingkungan dan pengetahuan masyarakat mengenai pengolahan limbah, juga menumbuhkan rasa kepedulian terhadap lingkungan pada generasi muda. Penting diadakannya ruang-ruang yang mendorong pengelolaan limbah, interaksi sosial, dan keterlibatan masyarakat di area perkotaan. Penelitian ini merumuskan aktivitas dan program, strategi desain, serta konsep ekoarsitektur yang mendukung perancangan pusat tersebut. Melalui analisis teori, studi preseden, dan kuisioner, dikemukakan kriteria dan strategi yang mendukung perancangan pusat rekreasi dan edukasi ini. Aktivitas dan program dipilih berdasarkan fungsi rekreasi dan edukasi, seperti kegiatan eksplorasi, workshop, olahraga, meditasi, diskusi, dan pertunjukan seni, yang juga mengintegrasikan unsur lingkungan hidup, terutama pengolahan limbah. Konsep ekoarsitektur yang diusulkan mencakup coexisting, regenerative, komunitas dan kultur, serta experience of place, dengan menggunakan material yang berkelanjutan, memelihara ruang hijau, dan mengaktifkan pengalaman multisensori. Strategi perancangan yang dihasilkan meliputi pemilihan tapak, akses dan sirkulasi, tata letak dan program ruang, gubahan massa bangunan, dan desain ruang terbuka hijau. Implementasi ekoarsitektur strategi tersebut termasuk akses langsung visual ke alam, penggunaan pencahayaan dan ventilasi alam, serta sirkulasi dan gubahan massa yang fleksibel dan organik. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi bagi pengembangan tata kota dengan menyediakan fasilitas yang membangun kesadaran lingkungan bagi Generasi Z. Diharapkan, pusat rekreasi dan edukasi ini dapat mendorong pembangunan infrastruktur yang ramah lingkungan serta membantu memecahkan masalah pengolahan limbah melalui pembawaan perubahan postitif dalam isu lingkungan hidup. / The 21st century Generation Z, has different values and concerns, especially for the environment. Generation Z has been globally connected through the internet since childhood and has made the internet their main source of information, including on environmental issues. Increasing population density exacerbates environmental problems, especially waste. Public awareness, especially Generation Z, is needed to solve this problem. Although Generation Z is sensitive to the issue, there are still few who take action. The waste treatment recreation and education center with an eco-architecture approach for Generation Z in the Dukuh Atas is a solution to increase environmental awareness and public knowledge about waste treatment, fostering a sense of concern for the environment in the younger generation. It is important to create spaces that encourage waste management, social interaction, and community involvement in urban areas. This research formulates activities and programs, design strategies, and eco-architecture concepts that support the design of the center through theoretical analysis, precedent studies, and questionnaires. Activities and programs are selected based on recreational and educational functions, such as exploration activities, workshops, sports, meditation, discussions, and art performances, which also integrate environmental elements, especially waste management. The proposed eco-architecture concept includes coexisting, regenerative, community and culture, and experience of place, by using sustainable materials, maintaining green spaces, and activating multisensory experiences. The resulting design strategy includes site selection, access and circulation, layout and space program, building massing, and green space design. The eco-architecture implementation strategy includes direct visual access to nature, natural lighting and ventilation, flexible and organic circulation, and massing. This research contributes to the development of urban by providing facilities that build environmental awareness for Generation Z. It is hoped that this recreation and education center can encourage the development of sustainable infrastructure and help solve waste management problems and other environmental issues.
