Abstract

Kopi merupakan minuman yang populer dikalangan remaja hingga dewasa dan Indonesia menjadi salah satu negara yang memiliki tingkat konsumsi terbanyak di antara 10 negara. Berdasarkan data dari United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Dimana masyarakat Indonesia mengonsumsi 4.750.000 x 60kg karung biji kopi setiap tahunnya. Dan menurut data dari Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS), Indonesia memproduksi 786,19 ribu ton biji kopi pada tahun 2021. Namun hasil produksi tersebut hanya sekitar 2.83 persennya yang sudah disangrai sehingga 97,17 persen tersebut masih dalam bentuk mentah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat coffee roaster yang mudah untuk digunakan sehingga masyarakat Indonesia mulai mengerti meroasting biji kopi dengan sendiri dari hal yang paling mudah. Penelitian dimulai dengan melakukan riset data sekunder, dengan memahami properti pada biji kopi dari awal proses hingga akhir proses. Dengan mengetahui hal-hal penting dalam membuat kopi yang baik dan benar. Penelitian ini juga melakukan serangkaian eksplorasi material dengan penggabungan material keramik, kayu, dan kaca sehingga produk dapat dinikmati oleh semua kalangan serta memiliki kandungan fungsionalitas didalamnya. / Coffee is a popular beverage among teenagers to adults, and Indonesia is one of the countries with the highest consumption rates among 10 nations. Based on data from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Indonesian society consumes 4,750,000 x 60kg bags of coffee beans annually. According to data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), Indonesia produced 786.19 thousand tons of coffee beans in 2021. However, only about 2.83 percent of this production has been roasted, leaving 97.17 percent in raw form. This research aims to develop an easy-to-use coffee roaster so that Indonesian people can start roasting coffee beans themselves from the most basic level. The research begins with secondary data research, understanding the properties of coffee beans from the initial process to the final process, and knowing the essential aspects of making good coffee. This study also involves a series of material explorations, combining ceramic, wood, and glass materials so that the product can be enjoyed by all groups and has functional content within.
