Abstract

Community-based learning adalah pendekatan pendidikan alternatif yang menekankan pengembangan life-skills, cocok bagi remaja yang memasuki tahap akhir pendidikan untuk mempersiapkan mereka memasuki dunia kerja. Ruang adaptif, yang dapat menyesuaikan diri dengan kebutuhan penggunanya, penting dalam pendidikan yang bersifat dinamis. Participatory Design, melibatkan calon user dalam proses desain, merupakan pendekatan yang efektif untuk mengetahui preferensi calon user. Teknologi VR digunakan untuk visualisasi, komunikasi, dan simulasi adaptivitas ruang, memperkaya pengalaman desain. Penelitian ini mengadopsi tiga metode. Studi literatur dan preseden digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi aspek dan variabel yang relevan dalam konteks community- based learning yang adaptif, serta participatory design berbasis VR. Metode survei dilakukan pada remaja sebagai responden dalam survei participatory design berbasis VR untuk memahami preferensi mereka sebagai calon pengguna dan untuk mendapatkan masukan desain. Hasil dari ketiga metode tersebut akan dianalisis dan dieksplorasi, dan kemudian digunakan sebagai parameter desain. Dengan mempertimbangkan konteks desain dari segi program ruang, potensi site, dan user, parameter desain dan konteks desain akan menjadi strategi yang digunakan sebagai pedoman dalam merancang prototipe sekolah community-based learning yang adaptif untuk remaja, dengan VR sebagai alat participatory design dan simulasi. Proses perancangan dimulai dengan menggunakan iterasi desain menggunakan Ai generated image dan preseden sebagai acuan secara visual. Kemudian dilakukan eksplorasi massing dengan design approach yang mengacu kepada strategi desain. Hasil penelitian yang berbentuk prototipe sekolah adaptif untuk remaja ini dapat memberikan kemungkinan pemanfaatan VR sebagai alat participatory design dan simulasi arsitektur. / Community-based learning is an alternative education approach that emphasizes the development of life skills, suitable for teenagers entering the final stage of education to prepare them for the workforce. Adaptive spaces, which can adjust to the needs of users, are crucial in dynamic education. Participatory Design, involving prospective users in the design process, is an effective approach to understanding user preferences. VR technology is used for visualization, communication, and simulating spatial adaptability, enriching the design experience. This research adopts three methods. Literature review and precedent studies are used to identify relevant aspects and variables in the context of adaptive community-based learning and VR-based participatory design. Survey methods are employed with teenagers as respondents in VR-based participatory design surveys to understand their preferences as potential users and to gather design input. The results of these three methods will be analyzed and explored, then used as design parameters. Considering design context in terms of spatial program, site potential, and users, design parameters and context will serve as guidelines in designing a prototype adaptive community-based learning school for teenagers, with VR as a tool for participatory design and simulation. The design process begins by iteratively using AI-generated images and precedents as visual references. Massing exploration is then conducted with a design approach that refers to design strategies. The research results, in the form of an adaptive school prototype for teenagers, provide possibilities for utilizing VR as a tool for participatory design and architectural simulation.
