Abstract

Dalam perjalanan kehidupan ini, tidak akan pernah terlepas dari sejarah atau masa lalu di dalamnya. Sejarah merupakan sebuah peristiwa yang terjadi di masa lampau yang termasuk dengan penemuan, koleksi, organisasi, dan informasi. Dengan kata lain, Sejarah ada dari perjalanan kehidupan manusia, yang kemudian dijaga agar selalu tetap terkenang. Gedung Joang 45 merupakan sebuah museum sebagai sarana untuk mengenang jasa para pahlawan dan menyimpan koleksi peninggalan bersejarah yang berhubungan langsung dengan peristiwa kemerdekaan Indonesia. Bangunan museum ini dahulunya merupakan sebuah hotel Belanda yang kemudian terus dialihfungsikan dari masa ke masa untuk keperluan kemerdekaan Indonesia yang hingga kini dijadikan sebagai museum, dengan kata lain Gedung Joang 45 merupakan bangunan adaptive reuse dengan terus memperbaharui aktivitas yang baru di dalamnya, tetapi tetap terus mempertahankan nilai dari bangunan tersebut. Gedung Joang 45 diresmikan menjadi museum yaitu pada tahun 1979, sehingga sudah diperlukannya perancangan desain baru dengan gaya dan fungsi ruang maupun aktivitas yang lebih mengikuti arus dari perkembangan zaman untuk mengubah stigma dari museum yang membosankan agar bisa menjadi stigma museum yang lebih menyenangkan tanpa mengubah atau mengurangi nilai - nilai dari tiap koleksi maupun segi bangunan. Dengan adanya perancangan desain yang baru, maka diharapkan dapat merangkul para pengunjung terutama generasi muda agar lebih dapat mengapresiasi sejarah dengan konsep yang lebih menyenangkan dan baru. Hal ini tentu harus memastikan desain yang baru tidak akan mengganggu atau menghilangkan esensi dari setiap cerita koleksinya termasuk dari bangunan eksistingnya itu sendiri. Maka dari itu, diperlukannya perancangan revitalisasi yang tetap sesuai dengan kriteria maupun syarat mengenai perancangan bangunan cagar budaya agar tetap memiliki nilai yang dipertahankan sesuai dengan pendekatan adaptive reuse. Hal ini berlaku pada bangunan yang baru di dalam lingkup Gedung Joang 45 agar tetap selaras dan saling melengkapi dengan bangunan yang lama. / In this journey of life, you will never be separated from history or the past within it. History is an event that occurred in the past which includes discoveries, collections, organizations and information. In other words, history exists from the journey of human life, which is then kept in mind so that it is always remembered. Joang 45 Building is a museum as a means to commemorate the services of heroes and stores a collection of historical relics that are directly related to the events of Indonesian independence. This museum building was previously a Dutch hotel which was then continuously converted from time to time for the purposes of Indonesian independence and is now used as a museum. In other words, the Joang 45 Building is an adaptive reuse building by continuing to renew new activities in it, but still continuing to maintain value of the building. The Joang 45 Building was inaugurated as a museum in 1979, so it was necessary to design a new design with style and function of spaces and activities that were more in line with current developments in order to change the stigma of a boring museum so that it could become a more enjoyable museum stigma without changing or reducing the values of each collection and aspect of the building. With the new design, it is hoped that it can engage visitors, especially the younger generation, so they can better appreciate history with a more fun and new concept. This of course must ensure that the new design will not disturb or eliminate the essence of each story in the collection, including the existing building itself. Therefore, it is necessary to design a revitalization that still complies with the criteria and requirements regarding the design of cultural heritage buildings so that they still have value that is maintained in accordance with the adaptive reuse approach. This applies to new buildings within the Joang 45 Building so that they remain in harmony and complement each other with the old buildings.
