Abstract

Generasi Z merupakan landasan bagi masa depan dan pendidikan memiliki peran kunci untuk mereka agar mereka dapat berperan aktif dalam masyarakat modern. Dibutuhkannya learning space yang efektif bagi generasi Z yang dapat mendukung kedua tipe learning yaitu individual learning dan collaboration learning. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menciptakan learning space sebagai third place yang berperan sangat penting untuk memfasilitasi interaksi sosial dan kehidupan komunitas agar dapat meningkatkan aktivitas pembelajaran. Melakukan aktifitas belajar dalam jangka waktu yang berlebihan dapat berdampak buruk pada kesehatan mental dan fisik pelajar yang menyebabkan kelelahan dan meningkatnya stress. Sebagai elemen arsitektur pendukung, arsitektur organik digunakan oleh karena keterlibatannya dengan alam yang dapat menjadi antidote for stress. Konsep arsitektur organik yang diusulkan mencakup noise barriers, buffer zones, natural and artificial lights, visual quality dan tingkat keterlibatan antar ruang. Konsep massing yang bersifat organic akan diambil berdasarkan high dan low rise building yang terdapat diluar site. Konsep-konsep ini merupakan visi bentuk massa bangunan dengan arsitektur organic untuk informal learning space. Strategi perancangan yang dihasilkan meliputi aspek formal, spasial, teknikal dan desain ruang terbuka hijau. Diharapkan, informal learning space ini dapat mendorong Generasi Z agar tetap dapat mengontrol stress level mereka melalui lingkungan pembelajaran ini. / Generation Z is the foundation of the future and education has a key role for them so that they can play an active role in modern society. There is a need for an effective learning space for generation Z that can support both types of learning, namely individual learning, and collaborative learning. This research aims to create a learning space as a third place which plays a very important role in facilitating social interaction and community life to increase learning activities. Carrying out learning activities for an excessive period can have a negative impact on students' mental and physical health, causing fatigue and increased stress. As a supporting architectural element, organic architecture is used because of its involvement with nature which can be an antidote for stress. The proposed organic architectural concept includes noise barriers, buffer zones, natural and artificial lights, visual quality, and level of involvement between spaces. The organic massing concept will be taken based on the high-rise and low-rise buildings located outside the site. These concepts are a vision of building mass forms with organic architecture for informal learning spaces. The resulting design strategy includes formal, spatial, technical, and green open space design aspects. It is hoped that this informal learning space can encourage Generation Z to continue to control their stress levels through this learning environment.
