Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis adaptasi jazz terhadap komposisi klasik "Prelude in C Major" oleh Johann Sebastian Bach, yang diaransemen oleh Jacques Loussier dalam format trio jazz. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif dan analisis musikologis, penelitian ini mengungkap bagaimana Loussier menggabungkan elemen-elemen jazz ke dalam karya Bach, menciptakan interpretasi yang dinamis dan unik. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa Loussier berhasil mengubah karakter prelude klasik dengan sinkopasi, improvisasi, dan variasi harmoni yang mencolok. Dengan penggunaan tempo yang fleksibel dan pendekatan trio jazz, interpretasi yang lebih bebas dan ekspresif tercapai.
