Abstract
Perancangan EGD ini bertujuan sebagai solusi bagi Faunaland agar dapat memandu pengunjungnya melalui signage dengan pengolahan informasi yang lebih baik./Faunaland is an educational tourist attraction that presents unique and interesting animals with a concept that carries Papuan culture to its place. Located in Jakarta, inside the Ecopark Ancol area causing Faunaland to be visited by many domestic and foreign tourists. With an outdoor space that can only be accessed through one entrance, Faunaland specify the flow of entry and exit for its visitors. However, the existing Environmental Graphic Design (EGD) at Faunaland is still lacking because it often causes confusion for visitors due to the lack of information on the signage Apart from that, the existing Environmental Graphic Design is still not in accordance with the space requirements and concept of the place. As a tourist attraction that provides various activities and facilities, proper Environmental Graphic Design is needed to carry out its function in identifying, communicating and navigating visitors in order to provide understanding, guidance and a memorable experience. Since Faunaland carries Papuan culture as its concept, it uses the analysis of Papuan cultural artifacts as the basis for signage design formation so that it can present the space and image that matches the concept of the place. The cultural artifacts were linked to the concept and design keywords that were obtained through the mind mapping method into an EGD system that was further developed. This EGD redesign is carried out so that Faunaland can guide the visitors through its newly informative signage.
