Abstract

Museum Wayang merupakan salah satu museum seni di Indonesia yang menyimpan beragam koleksi wayang dari penjuru nusantara. Terdapat banyak wayang hasil ciptaan museum dan pemberian dari pihak luar. Melalui hal tersebut tentunya museum memiliki tujuan sebagai pelestarian kebudayaan untuk melindungi benda- benda koleksi yang menjadi bagian dari karyaseni Indonesia. Sebagai area rekreasi dan sarana edukasi, museum memberikan fasilitas kepada pengunjung untuk menikmati pameran, belajar tentang wayang, pagelaran dan lain-lain. Melaui metode naratif, penulis mengkritisi tata letak dan alur pameran yang berfokus pada edukasi, melalui penelusuran tersebut penulis menemukan fakta bahwa pengunjung mengalami kesulitan memahami dan mempelajari wayang, sehingga terbuka kesempatan untuk menggunakan metode narasi untuk memahami tiga aspek penting yang harus dilekatkan pada desain interior Museum Wayang Kota Tua, yaitu aspek pengenalan, aspek pemahaman, dan aspek nilai yang mendukung kekuatan edukasi. Kemudian interior museum harus melibatkan pengunjung kepada pengalaman ruang yang menggunakan multisensory, yaitu penglihatan, peraba, penciuman, pendengaran, dan perasa, sehingga metode narasi serta explorasi multisensori, mampu menjadikan Museum Wayang Kota Tua sebagai fasilitas rekreasi dan edukasi yang tepat. / Wayang Museum is one of the art museums in Indonesia that houses a diverse collection of puppets from across the nation. There are many puppets created by the museum and given from outside parties. Through this, of course, the museum has a goal of cultural preservation to protect collection objects that are part of Indonesian art. As a recreation area and educational facility, the museum provides facilities for visitors to enjoy exhibitions, learn about puppets, performances, and the others. Through the narrative method, the author criticizes the layout and flow of exhibitions that focus on education, through this search the author finds the fact that visitors have difficulty understanding and learning about puppets, so there is an opportunity to use the narrative method to understand three important aspects that must be attached to the interior design of the Kota Tua Wayang Museum, namely the aspect of recognition, the aspect of understanding and the value aspect that supports the power of education. Then the interior of the museum must engage visitors to experience spaces that use multisensory, that is visual, tactile, olfactory, auditory, and gustatory, so that the narrative method and multisensory exploration, can make the Old City Puppet Museum an appropriate recreation and educational facility.
