Abstract

The devotion to the Way of the Cross is a form of contemplation by Catholics about the story of Jesus's passion and death on the cross. This devotion is highly recommended by the church to deepen their spiritual connection. In this contemporary era, Catholic priests express their concerns regarding the ongoing decline in the involvement of the younger generations. The Passion is a devotional reflection book about the Way of the Cross, narrated through the testimonies of fifteen different characters. This book serves as one of the alternatives for reflecting on devotion to the Way of the Cross. As a highly recommended form of prayer, this design will be based on the devotional book, The Passion. Contemporary art is quite a popular form of art among the young generation, enabling the younger generation to feel and understand spiritual messages about suffering and sacrifice. in a context that is relevant and interesting to their current lives. The visualization design process is supported by 5 phases: data collection, data analysis, concept design, design, and production. This design will optimistically provide a modern approach for the younger generation to increase their knowledge and be actively involved in exploring the meanings contained in the Stations of the Cross based on the devotional book The Passion.
