Abstract

Pengakuan dosa merupakan kegiatan rutin umat Katolik menjelang masa Paskah dan Natal. Dimana umat mengakui dosanya dan diberi pengampunan melalui pastor atas dosanya. Sering kali hal ini dilakukan secara formalitas, namun butuh penyesalan dan perubahan agar diampuni. Penyesalan sering kali dialami manusia, kondisi dimana manusia menyalahkan diri atas hal buruk yang dilakukannya. Hal ini dapat menyebabkan depresi atau perubahan sifat menjadi lebih baik, tergantung cara menanggapinya. Topik ini diangkat penulis untuk menunjukan misteri pengakuan dosa serta dampaknya kepada spiritualitas pengaku dan pastor yang melaksanakan pengakuan dosa dan untuk mengangkat bagaimana efek domino dari sebuah kesalahan yang mengakibatkan hancurnya kehidupan Penulis mencoba menyampaikan hal tersebut dengan membuat film pendek fiksi “Occasions Of Sin” sebagai film bergenre psychological thriller. Dalam makalah ini, penulis membahas peran sutradara dalam perancangan film pendek fiksi “Occasions of Sin”. Pembahasan dimulai dari tahap pra-produksi, produksi dan pasca produksi melalui penelitian data dan referensi yang berkaitan dengan konsep cerita dalam film ini. Dengan dibuatnya film ini, penulis berharap tujuan-tujuan dan pesan dapat tersampaikan dan memberikan dampak positif serta penghiburan bagi penontonnya. / Confession of sins is a routine activity for Catholic believers leading up to the seasons of Lent and Christmas. Where believers confess their sins and are granted forgiveness by a priest for their transgressions. Often, this is done as a formality, but genuine remorse and change are necessary for absolution. Remorse is often experienced by humans, a condition where individuals blame themselves for the wrongdoings they have committed. This can lead to depression or a change in character for the better, depending on how it is addressed. The author raises this topic to illustrate the mystery of confession and its impact on the spirituality of both the confessors and the priests who administer the sacrament, and to highlight the domino effect of a mistake that can lead to the destruction of lives. The author attempts to convey this by creating a short fiction film titled "Occasions Of Sin" as a psychological thriller. In this paper, the author discusses the role of the director in the design of the short fiction film "Occasions of Sin". The discussion begins from the preproduction stage, production, and post-production through research data and references related to the story concept of this film. With the creation of this film, the author hopes that the goals and messages can be conveyed and provide positive impact and entertainment to its audience.
