Abstract
Perkembangan pesat dalam industri makanan dan minuman memerlukan bisnis untuk terus berinovasi dan menarik perhatian pelanggan. Bisnis waralaba atau dikenal dengan sebutan franchise, sangat efektif dalam membantu perkembangan bisnis makanan dan minuman, dimana pihak yang ingin membuka bisnis dapat tanpa ragu menjalankan bisnis tersebut dengan bantuan penyedia franchise itu sendiri. Perluasan bisnis melalui model bisnis tersebut memang sangat menguntungkan berbagai pihak, namun diperlukan konsistensi agar identitas brand tetap utuh dan tidak ada pihak lain yang dapat seolah-olah meng-claim brand tersebut. Terkait dengan hal ini, penulis mengambil satu brand dengan bisnis franchise bernama “Waffelicious”. Waffelicious adalah brand bisnis yang berfokus pada makanan ringan, kudapan yang berbentuk waffle. Bisnis franchise yang disediakan Waffelicious sangatlah berkembang pesat sehingga cabang yang tersedia saat ini sangat banyak. Dari banyaknya cabang, konsistensi identitas visual diperlukan dalam menjaga franchise agar tetap pada standar dan ketentuan yang membangun brand tersebut. Pada analisa visual berdasarkan observasi, penerapan identitas visual pada cabang-cabang Waffelicious sendiri masih kurang konsisten. Oleh karena itu dalam tulisan ini, penulis akan membahas tentang perancangan ulang identitas visual terhadap brand Waffelicious.

Rapid developments in the food and beverage industry require businesses to continue to innovate and attract customer attention. Franchise businesses, also known as franchises, are very effective in helping the development of food and beverage businesses, where parties who want to open a business can without hesitation run the business with the help of the franchise provider itself. Business expansion through this business model is very beneficial for various parties, but consistency is needed so that the brand identity remains intact and no other party can claim the brand. Related to this, the author took a brand with a franchise business called "Waffelicious". Waffelicious is a business brand that focuses on snacks, egg-shaped snacks. The franchise business provided by Waffelicious is growing rapidly so that there are currently very many branches available. With so many branches, consistent visual identity is needed to maintain the franchise in accordance with the standards and conditions that built the brand. In visual analysis based on observation, the application of visual identity to Waffelicious branches itself is still less consistent. Therefore, in this article, the author will discuss redesigning the visual identity of the Waffelicious brand.
