Abstract
Penelitian ini akan membahas mengenai penerapan metode komposisi musical borrowing dalam proses penciptaan musik untuk film “Blade Runner 2049”. Latar belakang dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menjawab tantangan inovasi musik yang dihadapi oleh komposer-komposer zaman ini. Tujuan yang hendak dicapai adalah memahami strategi apa saja yang bisa diterapkan ketika menggunakan metode ini sehingga karya yang ditulis menjadi karya yang baru dan berbeda serta tidak menjadi tiruan dari karya yang dikutip. Penelitian ini akan menggunakan analisis komparasi dua soundtrack dari “Blade Runner 2049” (“2049” dan “Tears in the Rain”) dengan soundtrack dari “Blade Runner” (“Main Titles” dan “Tears in Rain”) yang dijadikan sebagai kutipan.
