This report describes the analysis and design of a support system for operational activities at King’s Electronic Store. King’s Electronic store is still using manual system in managing its business activities. Nowadays, information technology is very useful to assist the operational activities of a business. The operational activities include sales transactions, purchase transactions, product services, and the management of employee data, customer data, stock, and report. The system does not include features to manage employees’ payroll, and online purchases (online store). The method used to design and develop this system is the protyping method and started with an analysis of the difficulties found in the current system and gathering requirements through observation and interviews with the owner and the employees. The result of the analysis was modeled using UML 2.0 and the system is developed using PHP and MySQL. The result of the analysis and design processes is an operational system that can support information exchange and help automate operational activities at King’s Electronic Store. This system also facilitates the suppliers in offering new products to the owner without meeting them face to face. In addition, this system assists the owner in choosing and deciding suppliers through its suppliers comparison feature.
