Abstract

Penulisan ini mengeksplorasi metode pendekatan hermeneutik untuk menggali dan menguraikan makna-makna dalam konteks pemahaman bersama pada seni instalasi Chiharu Shiota. Diawali dari prinsip-prinsip hermeneutik, penulisan ini mengusulkan kerangka kerja yang mendorong konstruksi interpretasi dengan bantuan dekontekstualisasi, kontekstualisasi, dan rekontekstualisasi. Dengan melibatkan responden dalam pertukaran dialog, metode ini berusaha untuk mengungkapkan beragam-ragam perspektif, menemukan titik temu makna yang koheren. Proses ini mengakui interaksi dinamis antara individu dan kolektif, yang berpuncak pada munculnya ruang fisik dan ruang imajiner. Melalui penerapan metode ini, penulisan memfokuskan kompleksitas yang mekekat dalam pembuatan makna, menjelaskan bagaimana keterlibatan hermeneutik dapat memfasilitasi pemahaman yang lebih dalam dan mengungkapkan konsep dasar yang berasal dari seniman. Dengan demikian, penulisan ini menawarkan jalan menuju interpretasi yang lebih kaya dan mencakup beragam dimensi pengalaman ruang pada individu. / This paper explores the hermeneutic approach method to explore and explain meanings in the context of shared understanding in Chiharu Shiota's art installation. With the principles of hermeneutics, this paper proposes a framework that encourages the construction of interpretations with the help of decontextualization, contextualization, and recontextualization. By involving respondents in dialogue exchanges, this method seeks to reveal a variety of perspectives, finding coherent points of meaning. This process recognizes the dynamic interaction between the individual and the collectives, culminating in the emergence of physical and imaginary spaces. Through the application of this method, the paper focuses on the complexity inherent in place-making, explaining how hermeneutical engagement can facilitate deeper understanding and reveal basic concepts originating from the artist. Thus, this paper offers a path towards a richer interpretation and includes various dimensions of individual spatial experiences.
