Abstract

Di dalam proses pembelajaran, peran guru Kristen tidak hanya berfokus pada pengajaran konten melainkan membuat perancangan pembelajaran dan melakukan evaluasi setelah pengajaran berlangsung. Hal ini berbicara mengenai pemilihan metode pengajaran yang sesuai dengan konteks kelas. Penulisan ini memaparkan latar belakang, perencanaan dan hasil belajar siswa yang terjadi di sekolah Kristen X dalam kelas VII. Pembelajaran terjadi di dalam kelas selama 8 pertemuan dengan topik Persamaan dan pertidaksamaan Linear Satu Variabel. Melalui materi ini, siswa diharapkan mampu menyelesaikan bentuk-bentuk persamaan dan pertidaksamaan linear satu variabel terkhusus dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Materi ini juga diharapkan mampu membuat siswa kagum akan ciptaan Allah terkhusus mengenai keteraturan ciptaan dan keunikan pola pikir manusia. Guru memilih Inquiry Based Learning sebagai strategi pembelajaran yang akan diterapkan di dalam kelas. Pemilihan strategi pembelajaran ini berdasarkan hasil observasi yang menunjukkan bahwa siswa kelas VII dominan menyukai pembelajaran yang mendorong siswa untuk melakukan eksplorasi. Setelah penerapan strategi pembelajaran ini, rata-rata hasil belajar siswa menjadi meningkat. Dari 24 siswa kelas VII, hanya tiga yang memiliki nilai di bawah 70. Berdasarkan pembelajaran ini, guru menyadari bahwa pengajaran yang guru lakukan di dalam kelas memberikan dampak positif pada hasil belajar siswa. Oleh karena itu, guru perlu terus berkomitmen memberikan pengajaran yang baik./In the learning process, the role of Christian teachers is not only to focus on teaching content but also to create learning plans and carry out evaluations after teaching takes place. This talks about choosing teaching methods that are appropriate to the classroom context. This writing describes the background, planning and student learning outcomes that occurred at Christian school X in class VII. Learning occurs in class over 8 meetings on the topic Linear Equations and Inequalities in One Variable. Through this material, students are expected to be able to solve linear equations and inequalities with one variable specifically in everyday life. It is also hoped that this material will be able to amaze students with God's creation, especially regarding the order of creation and the uniqueness of human thought patterns. The teacher chooses Inquiry Based Learning as a learning strategy that will be applied in the classroom. The choice of this learning strategy was based on observations which showed that class VII students predominantly liked learning that encouraged students to explore. After implementing this learning strategy, the average student learning outcomes increased. Of the 24 class VII students, only three had scores below 70. Based on this learning, the teacher realized that the teaching that the teacher carried out in the classroom had a positive impact on student learning outcomes. Therefore, teachers need to continue to be committed to providing good teaching.
