Abstract
Penelitian ini mengkaji dampak media sosial terhadap pembentukan wacana politik pada masa kampanye presiden dan wakil presiden 2024. Tujuan utama dalam penelitian ini adalah pertama, untuk menilai efektivitas media sosial sebagai instrumen komunikasi politik, dan kedua, untuk mengetahui strategi branding politik yang dilakukan pada Pemilu 2024. Metodologi kualitatif digunakan dalam
penelitian ini untuk menganalisis pola metode komunikasi politik dari Prabowo-Gibran. Data diperoleh untuk mengkaji aspek politik branding di Instagram, khususnya melalui akun @prabowo.gibran2. Elemen penting dari strategi mereka terdiri dari (1) Keterlibatan dan Interaksi: Prabowo dan Gibran secara aktif terlibat dengan pemilih di Instagram, mendorong dialog dan konektivitas melalui komentar, pesan langsung, dan sebutan; (2) Pengisahan cerita visual adalah penggunaan materi visual secara strategis, seperti foto, film, dan infografis, untuk berhasil mengkomunikasikan narasi perjalanan, nilai, dan tujuan politik seseorang;
(3) Keaslian dan kejujuran diakui sebagai faktor penting dalam membangun kepercayaan pemilih; (4) Instagram berfungsi sebagai media menggalang penggemar dan mendorong partisipasi aktif kampanye Prabowo-Gibran; (5) Jangkauan Target: Platform ini memiliki jangkauan yang luas hingga melampaui
wilayah perkotaan, memberikan dukungan bagi Prabowo-Gibran baik di dalam negeri maupun internasional. Peneliti menyimpulkan bahwa instagram menjadi semakin penting sebagai platform pencitraan politik, memberikan jangkauan luas
dan kemungkinan interaksi di antara berbagai demografi pengguna. / This research examines the impact of social media on the formation of political discourse during the 2024 presidential and vice-presidential campaigns. The main objectives of this research are first to assess the effectiveness of social media as a political communication instrument and second to determine the political branding strategies carried out in the 2024 elections. Qualitative methodology was used in this research to analyze the pattern of Prabowo-Gibran's political communication methods. Data was obtained to examine the political aspects of branding on Instagram, especially through the account @prabowo.gibran2. Key elements of their strategy consist of (1) Engagement and Interaction: Prabowo and Gibran actively engage with voters on Instagram, encouraging dialogue and connectivity through comments, direct messages, and mentions; (2) Visual storytelling is the strategic use of visual materials, such as photos, films, and infographics, to successfully communicate the narrative of one's political journey, values, and goals; (3) Authenticity and honesty are recognized as important factors in building voter trust; (4) Instagram functions as a medium to mobilize fans and encourage active participation in the Prabowo-Gibran campaign; (5) Target Reach: This platform has a wide reach beyond urban areas, providing support for Prabowo-Gibran both domestically and internationally. Researchers conclude that Instagram is becoming increasingly important as a political branding platform, providing wide reach and interaction possibilities among various user demographics.
