Abstract
Sekolah di area pedalaman memiliki tantangan serta daya tarik tersendiri yang memengaruhi komitmen para guru untuk tetap mengajar di lokasi tersebut. Budaya organisasi memiliki peranan yang penting bagi kelangsungan sekolah yang memiliki guru dengan latar budaya dan pendidikan yang berbeda-beda. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan serta mengidentifikasi peran kepemimpinan adaptif dalam membangun budaya organisasi serta mempertahankan komitmen para guru, serta menganalisis tantangan pemimpin dalam menerapkan kepemimpinan adaptif. Penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus digunakan dalam penelitian ini dengan melibatkan 13 partisipan dari Sekolah Yapelin Ob Anggen. Data didapatkan melalui proses pembagian kuesioner serta wawancara mendalam kemudian data dianalisis menggunakan tiga langkah analisis data menurut Miles dan Huberman. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pemimpin membentuk iklim organisasi yang mendukung (supportive organizational climate) untuk membangun budaya organisasi kemudian membangun budaya organisasi yang positif untuk meningkatkan komitmen organisasi para guru. / Schools in rural areas have their own challenges and attractions that have an impact on the commitment of teachers to continue teaching in these places. Organizational culture plays an important role in the sustainability of schools with teachers from different cultural and educational backgrounds. This study aims to describe and identify the role of adaptive leadership in building organizational culture and sustaining teacher commitment, and to analyse the challenges faced by leaders in implementing adaptive leadership. This study used qualitative research with a case study approach involving 13 participants from Yapelin Ob Anggen School. Data was collected through the process of distributing questionnaires and in-depth interviews, and then the data was analysed using the three steps of data analysis according to Miles and Huberman. The results of this study show that leaders create a supportive organizational climate to build organizational culture and then build a positive organizational culture to increase teachers' organizational commitment.
