Abstract
The hospitality industry has been transformed by globalization, economic growth, and technological advances in various markets. The increasing focus on sustainability in all aspects of life is greatly impacting consumer behavior in relation to hospitality services. Karibia Boutique Hotel Medan is a famous four-star hotel located in the heart of the dynamic city of Medan. The hotel prides itself on creating an atmosphere of true warmth, unmatched hospitality and exceptional comfort for its guests. So, marketing innovation and the hotel environment are very important in the prototype brand experience of a hotel which will influence loyalty and recommendations from customers who stay and feel the atmosphere of the place they choose as their place of stay. One of the causes of several factors mentioned is a narrow parking environment and less attractive innovation from the hotel which makes customers consider their loyalty and recommendations.
The research was conducted from January to April 2024 using a questionnaire that was distributed to 97 customers of Karibia Boutique Hotel, Medan. The data gathered is then analyzed using SPSS. The result shows that marketing innovation and hotel environment have a significant influence on brand prototype along with the significant influence on brand recommendation and brand loyalty. The result coefficient of determinant R2 of 0.402 between marketing innovation and hotel environment towards brand prototype and the collective influence of brand prototype on brand recommendation and brand loyalty results in R2 of 0.471, meaning that there are other factors could influence brand
recommendation and brand loyalty which is not tested in this research.
The results give the importance of considering a marketing innovation and hotel environment on brand prototype, as it influences customers brand recommendation and brand loyalty. Furthermore, customer will evaluate their experience and how they get an information from their marketing or environment can impact the prototype which connects with customers recommendation and loyalty. / Industri perhotelan telah diubah oleh globalisasi, pertumbuhan ekonomi, dan kemajuan teknologi di berbagai pasar. Meningkatnya fokus terhadap keberlanjutan di seluruh aspek kehidupan sangat berdampak pada perilaku konsumen dalam kaitannya dengan layanan perhotelan. Karibia Boutique Hotel Medan, adalah hotel bintang empat terkenal yang terletak di jantung Kota Medan yang dinamis. Hotel ini bangga dapat menciptakan suasana kehangatan sejati, keramahan yang tak tertandingi, dan kenyamanan luar biasa bagi para tamunya. Maka inovasi marketing dan lingkungan hotel sangat penting dalam pengalaman prototipe merek sebuah hotel yang akan berpengaruh dengan loyalitas dan rekomendasi dari pelanggan yang menginap dan merasakan suasana dari tempat yang mereka pilih sebagai tempat penginapan mereka. Salah satu penyebab dari beberapa faktor yang disebut adalah lingkungan parkir yang sempit dan inovasi yang kurang menarik dari pihak hotel yang membuat pelanggan mempertimbangkan loyalitas dan rekomendasi mereka.
Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Januari sampai April 2024 dengan menggunakan kuesioner yang disebarkan kepada 97 pelanggan Karibia Boutique Hotel Medan. Data yang dikumpulkan kemudian dianalisis menggunakan SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa inovasi pemasaran dan lingkungan hotel mempunyai pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap prototipe merek serta pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap rekomendasi merek dan loyalitas merek. Hasil koefisien determinan R2 sebesar 0,402 antara inovasi pemasaran dan lingkungan hotel terhadap prototipe merek dan pengaruh kolektif prototipe merek terhadap rekomendasi merek dan loyalitas merek menghasilkan R2 sebesar 0,471, artinya ada faktor lain yang dapat mempengaruhi rekomendasi merek dan loyalitas merek yaitu tidak diuji dalam penelitian ini.
Hasilnya memberikan pentingnya mempertimbangkan inovasi pemasaran dan lingkungan hotel pada prototipe merek, karena mempengaruhi rekomendasi merek pelanggan dan loyalitas merek. Selanjutnya, pelanggan akan mengevaluasi pengalaman mereka dan bagaimana mereka mendapatkan informasi dari pemasaran atau lingkungan mereka dapat mempengaruhi prototipe yang berhubungan dengan rekomendasi dan loyalitas pelanggan.
