Abstract

Reading ability is considered a fundamental skill that forms the basis of children's learning at an early age. This study analyses the development of 2C students' reading and problem-solving skills, as well as identifies the challenges encountered during the implementation of multimedia e-books. Data collection techniques include observations, anecdotal records, and interviews. The challenges identified are a lack of understanding of reading content, lack of reading fluency, behaviuoral challenges in reading, and lack of understanding of effective reading strategies. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR). The results show that students experienced an improvement in both reading and problem-solving skills after implementing multimedia e-books in Language Arts lessons. From pre-cycle to cycle II, 89% of students showed very good development in reading skills, 11% met expectations, and 100% could retell the reading content well. In problem-solving skills, 84% showed very good development, 11% met expectations, and 5% did not meet expectations. The theoretical implications highlight the importance of choosing the right teaching techniques to help students progress effectively. / Kemampuan membaca dianggap sebagai keterampilan mendasar yang membentuk dasar pembelajaran anak-anak pada usia dini. Penelitian ini menganalisis perkembangan keterampilan membaca dan pemecahan masalah siswa kelas 2C, serta mengidentifikasi kendala yang dihadapi selama penggunaan multimedia e-book. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, catatan anekdot, dan wawancara. Kendala yang diidentifikasi adalah kurangnya pemahaman terhadap isi bacaan, kurangnya kelancaran dalam membaca, kendala dalam perilaku membaca, dan kurangnya pemahaman terhadap strategi membaca yang efektif. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa mengalami peningkatan dalam keterampilan membaca dan pemecahan masalah setelah penggunaan multimedia e-book dalam pelajaran Seni Bahasa. Dari pra-siklus ke siklus II, 89% siswa menunjukkan perkembangan yang sangat baik dalam keterampilan membaca, 11% memenuhi harapan, dan 100% dapat menceritakan kembali isi bacaan dengan baik. Dalam keterampilan pemecahan masalah, 84% menunjukkan perkembangan yang sangat baik, 11% memenuhi harapan, dan 5% tidak memenuhi harapan. Implikasi teoritis menyoroti pentingnya memilih teknik pengajaran yang tepat untuk membantu kemajuan siswa secara efektif.
