Abstract

Indonesia's participation in ACFTA's cooperation resulted in an agreement to reduce tariffs on several products. This tariff reduction also occurred in electronic products which led to an increase in Chinese products to Indonesian territory so as to encourage domestic industries to compete with Chinese products. CV. Makmur Jaya Engineering is an example of a manufacturing industry in Indonesia that is still having difficulty competing with Chinese products. Constraints that the company receives are still high taxes, asking for expensive raw materials, paying high employees and technology that is still lagging behind the Chinese manufacturing industry. The better business climate and support of the Chinese government also represent a number of factors that affect company competitiveness. This research uses qualitative methods and is published in a case study with CV. Makmur Jaya Engineering as the object of research to see the extent to which the company can compete with Chinese products after ACFTA. The data presented in this research were obtained from various sources which were complemented by literature studies, online studies and interviews. The data will be processed and presented descriptively. The results of this study indicate that CV. Makmur Jaya Engineering cannot compete with Chinese products in terms of price or quality. In addition, the Indonesian government also does not have a policy regarding the products needed. In facing this competition, the company prioritizes the best service to consumers by prioritizing three main principles that contain quantity, time efficiency and the ordering and payment process. / Keikutsertaan Indonesia dalam kerja sama ACFTA menghasilkan kesepakatan berupa penurunan tarif terhadap beberapa produk. Penurunan tarif tersebut juga terjadi pada produk aksesoris elektronik yang menyebabkan tingginya produk impor Cina ke wilayah Indonesia sehigga mendorong Industri dalam negeri untuk dapat bersaing dengan produk Cina. CV. Makmur Jaya Engineering merupakan salah satu contoh industri manufaktur di Indonesia yang masih kesulitan dalam bersaing dengan produk Cina. Kendala yang dihadapi perusahaan meliputi pemberlakuan pajak yang masih tinggi, ketersediaan bahan baku yang masih mahal, upah karyawan yang tinggi serta teknologi yang masih tertinggal dengan industri manufaktur Cina. Iklim bisnis dan dukungan pemerintah Cina yang lebih baik juga merupakan beberapa faktor yang berdampak terhadap daya saing perusahaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dan dibahas dalam sebuah studi kasus dengan CV. Makmur Jaya Engineering sebagai objek dari penelitian untuk melihat sejauh mana perusahaan tersebut dapat bersaing dengan produk impor Cina pasca ACFTA. Data yang disajikan dalam penelitian ini diperoleh dari berbagai macam sumber yang meliputi studi kepustakaan, studi daring dan wawancara. Data tersebut diolah dan dijelaskan secara deskriptif. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa CV. Makmur Jaya Engineering tidak dapat bersaing dengan produk Cina dari segi harga maupun kualitas. Selain itu, pemerintah Indonesia juga belum memiliki kebijakan mengenai pembatasan produk impor aksesoris elektronik pasca penghapusan tarif pada produk tersebut. Dalam menghadapi persaingan tersebut, perusahaan mengutamakan pelayanan terbaik kepada konsumen dengan mengedepankan tiga prinsip utama yang meliputi quantity, efisiensi waktu serta proses pemesanan dan pembayaran.
