Abstract
Critical thinking, creative, and communication skills are essential and highly needed, and should be developed in early childhood. Based on observations at Kindergarten B of XYZ Kindergarten Jakarta, these three competencies have not yet developed well. This study aims to analysed the application of the Play-Based Learning model to improve the critical thinking, creative, and communication skills of Kindergarten B students at XYZ Kindergarten Jakarta. The stages of planning, observation, action, and reflection are the stages of the research method used, namely Classroom Action Research which consists of three cycles. The subjects of this study are 25 Kindergarten B students. The research instruments used by the researchers to obtain data are assessment rubrics used to measure critical thinking, creative, and communication skills. The results of observations in the study showed that there has been an increase in critical thinking, creative, and communication skills. The average score for critical thinking skills in cycle one is 46.25, in cycle two is 68.38, and in cycle three is 91.88. The average creative score in cycle one is 46.00, in cycle two is 68.00, and in cycle three is 86.83. The average communication score in cycle one is 46.17, in cycle two is 66.83, and in cycle three is 88.00. From this data, it can be concluded that the Play-Based Learning model can improve the critical thinking, creative, and communication skills of Kindergarten B students at XYZ Kindergarten Jakarta. / Kemampuan berpikir kritis, kreatif dan komunikasi penting dan sangat dibutuhkan serta dikembangkan oleh anak usia dini. Berdasarkan observasi di TK B TK XYZ Jakarta, ketiga kompetensi tersebut masih belum berkembang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan model pembelajaran Play-Based Learning untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis, kreatif dan komunikasi siswa tingkat TK B di TK XYZ Jakarta. Tahapan perencanaan, observasi, tindakan dan refleksi merupakan tahapan pada metode penelitian yang digunakan, yaitu Penelitian Tindakan Kelas yang terdiri dari tiga siklus. Subjek penelitian ini merupakan siswa TK B yang berjumlah 25 siswa. Instrumen pada penelitian yang digunakan oleh peneliti untuk mendapatkan data merupakan rubrik penilaian yang digunakan untuk mengukur kemampuan berpikir kritis, kreatif dan komunikasi. Dari hasil observasi pada penelitian menunjukkan bahwa telah terjadi peningkatan pada kemampuan berpikir kritis, kreatif dan komunikasi. Nilai rata-rata kemampuan berpikir kritis pada siklus satu adalah 46.25, pada siklus dua 68.38 dan pada siklus tiga 91.88. Nilai rata-rata kreatif pada siklus satu yaitu 46.00, pada siklus dua 68.00 dan pada siklus tiga 86.83. Nilai rata-rata komunikasi pada siklus satu yaitu 46.17, pada siklus dua 66.83 dan pada siklus tiga 88.00. Dari data tersebut maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran Play-Based Learning dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis, kreatif dan komunikasi pada siswa TK B di TK XYZ Jakarta.
