Abstract
Nowadays mobile phones can be used to do various things, such as recording or watching videos, listening to music, and scheduling. With recent developments in communication technology, mobile phones can also be used to communicate with another device. A global standard to accomplish this is Bluetooth. Using Bluetooth, a mobile phone can communicate with another device that supports the protocol. The exchange of data between compatible devices is handled by the Bluetooth protocol. This makes it easy for the programmer to create various wireless applications to be used in mobile phones which support Bluetooth. This final project demonstrates the use of Bluetooth to control the movement of an object in a computer using a mobile phone. The mobile phone must be running on Symbian S60 platform and has Python installed. As for the computer, Visual Basic 6.0 is used with an additional Microsoft Comm component.
