Abstract
This study investigates the impact of the G20 Bali Declaration which played a crucial role in guiding Indonesia’s economic recovery efforts by emphasizing multilateral cooperation and sustainable development initiatives, aligning with G-20 objectives of 2022 on Indonesia’s economic recovery and sustainable development post-COVID-19. The research aims to analyze the impact of COVID-19 on developing countries and how Indonesia leveraged G20supported neoliberal policies, infrastructure projects, and social initiatives to navigate pandemic-related challenges and achieve sustainable growth. The theoretical argument posits that neo-liberal policies have facilitated international cooperation and collective action, as endorsed by the G20, and such policies are crucial for developing countries in addressing global economic disruptions and achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The research utilizes a case study methodology approach, using qualitative assessments of policy implementations and their social impacts and also data of economic indicators such as GDP growth, investment inflows, and trade volumes. Findings indicate that Indonesia’s GDP growth rebounded in 2021 but improved again in 2022, driven by substantial economic stimulus measures and strategic infrastructure investments. Additionally, G20 initiatives facilitated improvements in healthcare, education, and community-level projects, contributing to enhanced social equity and environmental sustainability. The study concludes that the G20’s role was instrumental in attaining Indonesia’s recovery, emphasizing the need for continued collaboration and adherence to the principles outlined in the Bali Declaration that played a crucial role in guiding Indonesia’s economic recovery efforts by emphasizing multilateral cooperation and sustainable development initiatives, aligning with G-20 objectives for sustained development.
