Nowadays, security has become the most important necessity in the system, even the network. Therefore, computer which has important roles, like server, is very urged to have a good security system which is strong enough to defend or even to prevent the attacks. It is because server stores much important information which is the main target of the hackers. The part of the security system that does the monitoring of every event that was happened can be done by using a technique called auditing. Auditing is one of the tools that were provided by Windows 2000 Server to have a secure system. Globalindo has implemented this auditing technique in one of its servers, i.e. Mailserver but the auditing result that was obtained is still not optimal yet. Such a thing is resulted because of the inappropriate auditing configuration in audit policy and some other settings. Therefore, the suggestion for audit policy configuration which is more appropriate to be implemented in Globalindo is proposed.
