Abstract
Salah satu teknologi yang berkembang pesat adalah Internet of Things. Dengan Internet of Things, barang-barang yang dahulu hanya bisa diakses secara manual, sekarang bisa diakses melalui jarak jauh melalui pemanfaatan Internet. Sekarang semua barang yang memiliki kemampuan Internet of Things, dapat berkomunikasi satu dengan yang lain. Mereka bisa melakukan pertukaran data dan melakukan aksi lewat data yang diterima atau dikirimnya. Rumah pintar merupakan bentuk penerapan Internet of Things. Rumah pintar membuat suatu rumah terhubung secara digital. Pengguna dapat mengakses rumah mereka secara jarak jauh. Ini menjadikan pengguna tidak harus berada di dalam rumah untuk mengendalikan perangkat yang ada di dalam rumahnya. Selain itu, hal ini akan semakin mendorong penerapan gaya hidup modern yang hasilnya akan memberi kemudahan dan efisiensi bagi penggunanya. Pada projek tugas akhir ini, penulis akan menggunakan mikrokontroler NodeMCU sebagai pusat pengendali dari sistem rumah pintar dan MQTT sebagai protokol pertukaran data dari sistem rumah pintar kepada MQTT Broker. Sedangkan pengguna mengakses MQTT Broker dengan menggunakan penjelajah web yang menggunakan protokol HTTP. Dari hasil implementasi rumah pintar, sistem dapat berfungsi dengan baik dan benar sesuai tujuan penulis.

One of the rapidly evolving technologies is the Internet of Things. With the Internet of Things, stuff that used to only be accessed manually can now be accessed remotely through the use of the Internet. Now all the items that have the ability Internet of Things, can communicate with each other. They can exchange data and take action through the data that received or be sent. Smart home is the application of the Internet of Things. With Smart Home, it will make a house to be digitally connected to Internet. Users can access their home remotely. This makes the user does not have to be in the house to control a device that is in his house. In addition, it will further encourage the adoption of modern lifestyles, and the result will provide convenience and efficiency in the user's life. For this project, author will use a microcontroller NodeMCU as the central control of smart home systems and MQTT as a data exchange protocol of the smart home system to the MQTT Broker. While users access the MQTT Broker by using a web browser that uses the HTTP protocol From the results of the implementation of smart home, the system can function properly and correctly according to the author's purpose.
