Abstract
This study identifies and addresses the gap in Christian character education at TK XYZ, focusing on parental involvement and the effectiveness of educational media. The research gap lies in the lack of programs involving parents in managing children's negative behavior and the need for more effective educational media. The main issues faced include low parental participation in supporting character education at home and the absence of media that optimally supports Christian character development. The objectives of this research are to (1) identify parents' needs in optimizing Christian character education, (2) develop a viable and effective Kidventure Board Game media to support early childhood Christian character education, and (3) evaluate the effectiveness of this media in enhancing character education. The study uses survey and evaluation methods to gain insights into parental needs and assess the success of the developed media. The findings are expected to contribute to designing character education programs that involve parents more effectively and creating educational media that meets the needs of Christian character teaching. / Penelitian ini mengidentifikasi dan mengatasi kesenjangan dalam pendidikan karakter Kristiani di TK XYZ, dengan fokus pada keterlibatan orang tua dan efektivitas media pembelajaran. Kesenjangan penelitian terletak pada kurangnya program yang melibatkan orang tua dalam penanganan perilaku negatif anak dan kebutuhan untuk media pembelajaran yang lebih efektif. Masalah utama yang dihadapi adalah rendahnya partisipasi orang tua dalam mendukung pendidikan karakter di rumah dan kurangnya media pembelajaran yang mendukung pengembangan karakter Kristiani secara optimal. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk (1) mengidentifikasi kebutuhan orang tua dalam mengoptimalkan pendidikan karakter Kristiani, (2) menghasilkan media Kidventure Board Game yang layak dan efektif dalam mendukung pendidikan karakter Kristiani anak usia dini, dan (3) mengevaluasi efektivitas media tersebut dalam meningkatkan pendidikan karakter. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei dan evaluasi untuk mendapatkan wawasan tentang kebutuhan orang tua dan mengevaluasi keberhasilan media yang dikembangkan. Hasil penelitian diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi dalam merancang program pendidikan karakter yang melibatkan orang tua secara lebih efektif dan menciptakan media pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan pengajaran karakter Kristiani.
