Abstract

Sinar ultraviolet (UV) terbagi menjadi kategori A, B, dan C berdasarkan panjang gelombangnya. Radiasi UV B adalah yang paling berdampak pada kulit sehingga dapat menyebabkan penuaan ekstrinsik. Penuaan ekstrinsik dapat menyebabkan hiperpigementasi pada kulit dan kehilangan elastisitas kulit. Radiasi UV B juga dapat mengakibatkan kerusakan pada kulit bibir karena tipisnya kulit bibir, sehingga bibir lebih mudah retak. Untuk itu, dapat dibuat sediaan pelembap bibir yang mempunyai nilai SPF yang berfungsi sebagai tabir surya. Daun mangga kasturi (Magnifera casturi Koesterm) mengandung flavonoid yang berperan dalam penyerapan sinar UVA dan UVB. Oleh karena itu, diformulasikan daun mangga kasturi sebagai bahan aktif dari sediaan pelembap bibir yang mempunyai nilai SPF sehingga dapat melindungi bibir dari kerusakan yang dapat disebabkan oleh radiasi sinar UV. Ekstrak etanol 96% daun mangga kasturi positif mengandung senyawa metabolit sekunder seperti alkaloid, flavonoid, tannin, kuinon dan fenol. Ekstrak etanol 96% daun mangga kasturi diformulasikan kedalam sediaan pelembap bibir dengan beberapa konsentrasi berbeda, yaitu 0,5% (F1), 1% (F2) , 2,5% (F3) dan 5% (F4) dengan nilai rata-rata SPF untuk masing-masing sediaan yaitu 13,37, 31,95, 36,49 dan 40.02. Namun karena nilai SPF pada F1 tidak optimal atau ≥ 30, sehingga hanya F2, F3 dan F4 yang akan dilanjutkan pada uji stabilitas dan evaluasi mutu fisik sediaan. Pada uji stabilitas dan mutu fisik dari ketiga formulasi sediaan pelembap bibir, ketiga formulasi memenuhi syarat mutu fisik berupa, organoleptic, pH, homogenitas dan titik leleh dalam masa penyimpanan. Pada uji hedonic sediaan pelembap bibir, didapatkan F1 sebagai formulasi sediaan yang paling disukai oleh panelis./ Ultraviolet (UV) light is divided into A, B and C categories based on its wavelength. UV B radiation is the most impactful on the skin and can cause extrinsic aging. Extrinsic aging can cause hyperpigmentation of the skin and loss of skin elasticity. UV B radiation can also cause damage to the skin of the lips due to the thin skin of the lips, so that the lips are more prone to cracking. For this reason, a lip moisturizer preparation that has an SPF value that functions as a sunscreen can be made. Mango kasturi leaves (Magnifera casturi Koesterm) contain flavonoids that play a role in the absorption of UVA and UVB rays. Therefore, mango kasturi leaves are formulated as an active ingredient of a lip moisturizer preparation that has an SPF value so that it can protect lips from damage that can be caused by UV radiation. The 96% ethanol extract of mango kasturi leaves is positive for containing secondary metabolite compounds such as alkaloids, flavonoids, tannins, quinones and phenols. The 96% ethanol extract of mango kasturi leaves was formulated into lip moisturizer preparations with several different concentrations, namely 0.5% (F1), 1% (F2), 2.5% (F3) and 5% (F4) with an average SPF value for each preparation of 13.37, 31.95, 36.49 and 40.02. However, because the SPF value in F1 is not optimal or ≥ 30, so only F2, F3 and F4 will continue in the stability test and physical quality evaluation of the preparation. In the stability and physical quality tests of the three lip moisturizer dosage formulations, the three formulations met the physical quality requirements in the form of organoleptic, pH, homogeneity and melting point during storage. In the hedonic test of lip moisturizing preparations, F1 was found to be the most preferred dosage formulation by panelists.
