Abstract
Latar Belakang: Kopi merupakan minuman berkafein yang paling banyak di konsumsi di dunia, khususnya pada mahasiswa kedokteran. Terdapat prevalensi kecemasan sebesar 33.8% yang di alami oleh mahasiswa kedokteran secara global. Terdapat sebagian besar mahasiswa kedokteran yang memiliki kebiasaan minum kopi dan mengalami kecemasan. Maka dari itu, diperlukan analisa dan identifikasi mengenai hubungan kebiasaan konsumsi kopi dengan tingkat kecemasan.Tujuan Penelitian: Mengetahui hubungan kebiasaan minum kopi dengan tingkat kecemasan secara umum pada mahasiswa pre-klinik Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Pelita Harapan.Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan desain rancangan studi potong lintang (cross-sectional) yang di mana jenis penelitian merupakan penelitian analitik komparatif kategorik tidak berpasangan. Data yang digunakan merupakan data primer yang diambil dengan kuesioner data sosiodemografi, kuesioner kebiasaan konsumsi kopi dan Generalised Anxiety Disorder Assessment-7 (GAD-7). Data yang didapat akan dianalisis secara univariat, dan analisis bivariat (uji chi-square).Hasil: Terdapat 40 sampel pada penelitian ini, 23 responden (55%) diantaranya memiliki kebiasaan minum kopi rendah, dan 17 responden (45%) memiliki kebiasaan minum kopi sedang. Selain itu, terdapat 22 responden yang tidak mengalami kecemasan dan 18 responden yang mengalami kecemasan dengan tingkat yang berbeda. Nilai p-value dari hasil analisis data adalah sebesar 0,167.Kesimpulan: Tidak terdapat hubungan signifikan antara kebiasaan minum kopi dengan tingkat kecemasan pada mahasiswa pre-klinik Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Pelita Harapan.Kata kunci: Konsumsi Kopi, Tingkat Kecemasan/Background: Coffee is the most consumed caffeinated drink in the world, especially among medical students. There is a prevalence of anxiety of 33.8% experienced by medical students globally. There are many medical students who have the habit of drinking coffee and experiencing anxiety. Therefore, analysis and identification of the relationship between coffee consumption habits and anxiety levels is needed.Research Objective: To determine the relationship between coffee drinking habits and general anxiety levels in pre-clinical students at the Faculty of Medicine, Pelita Harapan University.Method: This research uses a cross-sectional study design, where the type of research is unpaired categorical comparative analytical research. The data used is primary data taken using a sociodemographic data questionnaire, a coffee consumption habits questionnaire, and the Generalized Anxiety Disorder Assessment-7 (GAD-7). The data obtained will be analyzed univariately and bivariately (chi-square test).Result: There were 40 samples in this study, 23 respondents (55%) of them had low coffee drinking habits, and 17 respondents (45%) had moderate coffee drinking habits. Apart from that, there were 22 respondents who did not experience anxiety and 18 respondents who experienced anxiety to varying degrees. The p-value from the results of data analysis is 0.167.Conclusion: There is no significant relationship between coffee drinking habits and anxiety levels in pre-clinical students at the Faculty of Medicine, Pelita Harapan University.Keywords: Coffee Consumption, Anxiety Levels
