Abstract

PT. Chevron Pacific Indonesia atau dikenal dengan PT.CPI adalah perusahaan multinasional asal Amerika Serikat yang bergerak dalam bidang minyak dan gas bumi telah beroperasi selama 95 tahun di Indonesia. Selama PT.CPI beroperasi di Indonesia timbul pro dan kontra, padahal perusahaan ini telah banyak berkontribusi bagi Indonesia. Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) yang dibentuk PBB, menjadi harapan pada PT.CPI, untuk turut berkontribusi dalam memenuhi tujuan SDGs tersebut. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memberikan pengetahuan, wawasan, dan cara pandang orang banyak mengenai peran perusahaan multinasional yang beroperasi di sebuah negara, karena banyak orang masih beranggapan buruk dengan kehadiran sebuah perusahaan multinasional, dan juga memberi pengetahuan bahwa sebuah perusahaan juga dapat turut andil dalam mencapai tujuan dari SDGs. Penelitian ini ditulis menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode deskriptif. Penelitian ini memakai teori Neoliberalisme dan konsep yang digunakan adalah konsep MNC, Welffarestate, dan Sustainable Development. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah PT.CPI telah berkontribusi dalam membuka lapangan pekerjaan, Pendidikan, dan menjaga ekosistem laut dan darat, dimana dalam hal ini memenuhi tujuan SDGs nomor satu tanpa kemiskinan, nomor dua tanpa kelaparan, nomor empat Pendidikan berkualitas, nomor delapan pekerjaan layak dan pertumbuhan ekonomi, nomor empat belas ekosistem laut, dan nomor lima belas ekosistem darat / PT. Chevron Pacific Indonesia or known as PT.CPI, a multinational company from United States of America that run its business in oil and gas industry for 95 years in Indonesia. During its operation in Indonesia, surely it has a lot of pro and contra, even though this company has a lot of contribution to Indonesia. With Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that has been created by United Nations, PT. CPI was expected to contribute to support SDGs implementation. This study was meant to provide knowledge, insight, and perspective to a lot of people about multinational company’s role that operate in a country because there are a lot of people that still have bad opinion about multination company existence. This study also meant to tell that a company also can contribute to achieve SDGs. This study uses qualitative approach and descriptive method. This study uses Neoliberalisme theory and MNC, Welfare state, and Sustainable Development concept. The result of this study is PT. CPI has contributed to open new jobs, educations, and marine and terrestrial ecosystem which has fulfill SDGs number one namely no poverty, SDGs number two namely no hunger, number four namely quality education, number eight namely decent work and economic growth, number fourteen namely life below water, and number fifteen namely life on land.
