Abstract
Sektor pariwisata kini sedang berkembang sangat pesat di Indonesia. Hal ini berdasarkan dengan adanya peningkatan jumlah wisatawan mancanegara yang berkunjung ke Indonesia pada tahun 2016 sebesar 1,03 juta kunjungan menjadi 1,35 juta kunjungan di tahun 2017. Untuk meningkatkan jumlah tersebut dibutuhkan promosi dalam berbagai bentuk. Salah satu jenis promosi yang bisa dilakukan adalah dengan memanfaatkan postingan-postingan para self traveller di media sosial untuk menarik perhatian para calon wisatawan berkunjung ke Indonesia. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini ingin melihat bagaimana strategi self traveller dalam mempromosikan pariwisata Indonesia melalui Youtube. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode deskriptif. Pengumpulan data primer dilakukan dengan melakukan wawancara dengan narasumber, sedangkan untuk data sekunder dilakukan dengan literature review. Melalui penelitian ini terlihat bahwa terdapat berbagai strategi yang dilakukan oleh para self traveller untuk mempromosikan pariwisata Indonesia melalui media sosial yaitu Youtube.

Tourism sector in Indonesia is one of many sectors that growing rapidly. It shows by the increased number of tourist that visit Indonesia from 1.03 million in 2016 to 1.35 million visit in 2017. To increase that numbers promotion is needed in many way. One of many promotion can be done is by using self traveller’s post on their social media to attract potential tourist to come to Indonesia. Thus, the objective of this research is to know how self traveller’s strategy in promoting Indonesia tourism through Youtube. This research is using qualitative descriptive methods. The primary data collection itself is done by using interview with several self traveller. Besides that the secondary data collection is done by using literature review. Through this research, researcher found that there are several strategy self traveller used to promote Indonesia tourism using sosial media platform specifically Youtube.
